STEUBENVILLE — The Eastern Gateway Community College Governance Board, the panel appointed to steer the college during the final days of its dissolution process, notified former faculty and staff that they’ll get the rest of their payout money on Sept. 20.

The former employees had expected to get the contractually guaranteed money on Sept. 6 but were told Thursday there were “funding issues” and the final payouts for their accrued vacation, sick and personal days would require approval.

The governance authority announced Friday those payments would be made in two weeks.
