Holiday Activities
∫ Barnesville Police Department will host its second annual Pancakes with the Grinch from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Albert S. George Youth Center in Memorial Park. A synthetic ice rink will be available downtown from noon to 8 p.m., and children’s activities will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Barnesville Elementary School cafeteria.
The Christmas in the Ville Lighted Christmas Parade steps off at 5:30 p.m. from Barnesville High School.
∫ The village of Flushing is hosting a day of Christmas activities Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning with Breakfast with Santa from 8:30-10 a.m. at Flushing Methodist Church, sponsored by Stratton Mill. A craft show and concessions will be available at the fire hall from 8 a.m. to noon.
Parade lineup begins at 9 a.m. at Schuler Park with the parade stepping off at 11 a.m. Santa will be at the fire hall after the parade.
∫ The village of Belmont will hold Breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, with pancakes, eggs, sausage and juice on the menu at the gym on Brown Street. Activities include ornament decorating, letters to Santa and more. The meal is free, thanks to support from Morristown McDonald’s and other sponsors.
The community tree lighting takes place at 6 p.m. with free hot chocolate and cookies by Little Annie’s Sweets. The event takes place at South Bridge Street and features honorary tree lighters Tom and Brenda Freeman.
