Ranch Night returns to Flushing Friday

FLUSHING — When is a concert more than just a concert?

When it’s also an enormous farm-to-table barbecue, complete with specialty cuts of beef raised right on the property combined with whiskey pairings, camping and tours of the farm.

All of that happens this week, with the second annual Dutton Family Ranch Night & BBQ Concert taking place on Friday. Gates, the bar and barbecue open at 5 p.m. with the show getting underway at 6 p.m. Free parking is available on the day of the show at 42620 Dutton Drive, Flushing.

The musical lineup features Tracy Byrd, a country music star since 1993 with hits such as “Watermelon Crawl” and “Holdin’ Heaven.” Also on tap are Braxton Keith, Mackenzie Carpenter and Noah Hicks.

“We’re excited for another year of opening the farm up to the community!” concert organizer Chris Dutton said. “I’m excited for these particular artists as well because they’re all such great entertainers, and the younger acts have been getting a lot of radio play this spring.”

In addition to four country music performers, the evening will feature Wagyu beef that was pasture raised and hand fed a few hundred feet away. On the menu will be everything from brisket and burnt ends, ribeyes, chuckeyes, Tomahawk and Denver steaks, burgers and all-beef hot dogs. The staff of The Pike 40, the Duttons’ Morristown restaurant, will prepare the meals.

“We’re adding a new blend of Wagyu cuts into our ‘BBQ Burnt Ends’ this year, and I’m excited for everyone to try it,” Dutton added.

Campsite passes are sold out, but general admission and limited premium concert tickets are still available online at DuttonRanchNight.com.
