1 killed and 2 injured in crash in Shadyside

SHADYSIDE -- One person was killed and two more were injured when a motorcycle and pickup truck crashed Wednesday night in Shadyside, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to OSHP, 21-year-old Aidan B. Frazier was killed when his 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by a juvenile with a licensed adult passenger, 73-year-old Eric Gartner, in the vehicle. OHSP said Frazier was traveling north on Shadyside North at the intersection of East 34th Street, when the southbound pickup truck tried to make a left-hand turn on East 34th Street and the two vehicles collided.

Frazier sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash, was taken to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital and later died there. The juvenile and Gartner were taken to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. OSHP, OR&W EMS, the Belmont County Sheriff's Office, Shadyside police, Braden's A1 Towing and Naylor Bros. Towing all assisted at the scene.
