Monta Harris

A Cleveland man was recently arrested in Belmont County on felony drug charges, according to Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack.

Monta Harris, 28, is currently in Belmont County Jail on charges of cocaine trafficking and cocaine possession, according to a BCSO news release.

According to the BSCO, on Sept. 6, the Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit (Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission) conducted a traffic stop near Ohio 7 and the Moundsville bridge for a minor traffic infraction. During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was granted, and approximately one ounce of suspected cocaine was seized, according to the BSCO release.

Harris is also on federal probation, according to the release.
