Experience Church to provide community with free Thanksgiving

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Thanksgiving is a time for family, gratitude, and coming together.

Recognizing that many in the Ohio Valley are experiencing hardship, The Experience Church is stepping in to ensure no family has to miss out on a traditional holiday meal this year.

Through this annual outreach initiative, the Experience Church will provide families with all the essentials to prepare a complete Thanksgiving dinner — at no cost.

Each meal kit will include a 10-pound turkey, five-pound bag of potatoes, box of stuffing, two jars of gravy, two cans of corn, two cans of green beans, rolls and margarine, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

“This is so much more than giving away a box of food,” said Kayla Dixon, Director of Outreach at The Experience Church. “Our hope is that through providing a family with

Thanksgiving dinner essentials, we’re giving them the chance to enjoy quality time with one another, share meaningful conversations, and know that Jesus sees them and meets them right where they are. Because without Him, none of this is possible.”

Families in need can register for the program at theexperience.church. To ensure as many households as possible are served, the church asks that only one registration be submitted per family. Families will need to complete the registration in order to receive a meal kit. Meals will be provided upon completion and the order in which registrations are received, as quantities are limited.

Meal kit pickup will take place on Saturday, November 22, from 8-9 a.m. at the Experience Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio. All meal kits are to be picked up at that time.

Participation is free, and families do not need to attend The ExperienceChurch to receive a meal.

Community members who would like to support this initiative can make a donation through the “Give” tab on the church’s website.
