At 11:01 p.m. Sunday, a caller from the Village Network on National Road in Belmont reported that a resident assaulted staff. A deputy responded and took one female into custody and transported her to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.
At 9:40 p.m. Sunday, a deputy on a traffic stop on East Main Street in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a motorist for driving without headlights.
At 8:39 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a male in a vehicle outside of Lowes on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville was huffing. A deputy responded and placed the male into custody. He was transported to the Belmont County Jail. The deputy collected evidence.
At 8:31 p.m. Sunday, central dispatch advised of a verbal altercation at an address on Morristown Street in Flushing. A deputy called back, and the female said she only wanted the incident to be put on file stating she had issues with a neighbor. The female was given instructions on how to obtain a civil protection order.
At 8:16 p.m. Sunday, a sergeant was notified by a Barnesville Police officer that a vehicle needed to be recovered at the Barnesville Reservoir at the Slope Creek Boat Launch. The vehicle was mostly submerged, but there were no injuries. A sergeant activated the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team, and several officers responded. The vehicle was recovered without incident.
At 6:43 p.m. Sunday, central dispatch advised of a breaking and entering in progress at A-1 Towing on National Road in Bridgeport. Deputies responded, as did Bridgeport Police. Information was taken for a report.
At 6:33 p.m. Sunday, a deputy responded to Hall Street in Maynard for a report of a male who had injuries as a result of a fireworks explosion. The deputy searched for any possible items left that needed to be collected, but nothing was found.
At 6:25 p.m. Sunday, a dispatch reported that a female was causing problems at McDonald’s on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville. Deputies responded. The female was asked to leave, per employees’ request.
At 6:06 p.m. Sunday, a deputy responded to a report of a possible breaking and entering at an address on Nixon Run Road in Martins Ferry. Information was obtained for a report.
At 5:26 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a report of a female who was stealing from Boscov’s, Marshall’s and Ulta. Deputies located the female, and stolen items were recovered. Information was obtained, and the female was released. Merchandise was returned to the corresponding stores, all of which declined to press charges, according to the report.
At 5:15 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an address in St. Clairsville for a welfare check on a juvenile in distress. The child’s phone was pinged. Martins Ferry Police checked one address, but did not locate the juvenile there. A deputy checked another address and found the juvenile. The mother and a counselor through the school were made aware, and the mother was advised to call back if they needed any assistance.
At 4:14 p.m. Sunday, dispatch reported a female was being disruptive at McDonald’s on Mall Ring Road, St. Clairsville. Deputies responded, but the female was gone when they arrived. Deputies checked the area, but did not come in contact with her.
At 1:44 p.m. Sunday, an emergency medical service squad in Lafferty requested assistance with a 73-year-old male who had fallen at an address on National Road in Morristown.
At 11:17 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported an underage drinking party at a location in Fairpoint. Deputies responded and made contact with adults there. All parties at the residence were supposed to be there, the report indicated.
At 4:36 p.m. Saturday, a 911 call with static on the line was received from a residence on Wegee Road in Bellaire. A deputy responded and reported that all was well.
At 2:19 p.m. Saturday, a caller from an address on High Street in Bridgeport reported that someone came into her home while she was at work, and she has it on video. Nothing was taken. Information was taken for a burglary report.
