At 10:54 p.m. Wednesday, units on a traffic stop at U.S. 250 near the underpass in Bridgeport where a motorist drove through town with no headlights, then turned from Main Street to South Lincoln Avenue before running off the roadway and nearly striking a pole. They were working on getting someone to pick up her and the vehicle.

At 10:48 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to Glenwood Village Apartments on Belmont Road in Bethesda for a report of an argument between a male and female, who were separated. Information was taken for a report.

At 9:42 p.m. Wednesday, a caller requested a well check on a juvenile in Wheeling Township. Contact was made with the juvenile and his mother.

At 8 p.m. Wednesday, an officer responded to Ohio 7 near 17th Street in Bellaire at the request of the Ohio State Highway Patrol for an injured deer on the side of the road. The deer was dispatched with four rounds.

At 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, a third-party caller reported a possible sexual assault of a juvenile female. A deputy responded to an address in Wheeling Township for a well check, but did not come in contact with anyone. Officers made contact with the female and her parents at the sheriff’s office. A sergeant spoke with the female and her mother. “At this time, any encounter the victim had was consensual,” according to the report.

At 6:31 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on 38th Street in Bellaire issued a citation to an Ohio driver for driving under suspension. The vehicle was left parked at this location, and the female motorist was advised to call for a valid driver.

At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from Jerusalem reported a child custody issue. A deputy responded, and all parties agreed for the child to go home without any charges, according to the report.

At 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, a detective on a special detail gave a juvenile a ride home in Bellaire after being caught in a storm.

At 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, an officer was out with a vehicle in a ditch on National Road in Morristown. The vehicle was moved off of the road. There was no damage, but a tow truck was on its way.

At 3:14 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Barton Road in St. Clairsville reported that someone opened a credit card in her name. The card was closed, and nothing was charged. Information was placed on file.

At 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from Bridgeport came to the station to report identity theft of one of his two minor children. A deputy took information from the complainant.

At 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out with Richland Township Police units near Coaches Burger Bar on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville with a male who was reportedly out of a car yelling at people.

At 2:13 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an address on OK Road in Glencoe for a report about a neighbor who withdrew money out of a complainant’s account. The complainant was to gather information from the bank to file a report.

At 1:41 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on U.S. 40 near Main Street in Richland Township issued a warning for improper passing.

At 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, the principal of Belmont Career Center advised the school resource officer that two students were found in possession of nicotine vape devices. Both students were given disciplinary plans to include CCAP and Vape 101 classes. The officer took custody of the devices and marked them for disposal.

At 10:11 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported issues with a male trespassing on property on Prokes Road in St. Clairsville. The caller was one of the trustees of the property.

At 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out with an occupied disabled vehicle on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 217 in St. Clairsville. The truck overheated, and everything was fine, according to the report.

At 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a semi in a ditch on Reco Road in Belmont.

At 1:06 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from Kennedy Avenue in Bridgeport reported a suspicious male on the caller’s porch. The man left and headed toward the trailer court. A deputy responded and located two people on the ground. The people were staying nearby and just went to the wrong address. An EMS was dispatched for one male with a possible back injury from falling. The male went with the squad. A deputy spoke with the caller, and all was well.

At 12:34 a.m. Wednesday, a caller who works at a well pad on High Ridge Road in Bellaire reported that over the past six months, they have had issues with a male who resides nearby and shares the same driveway as is used for the well pad. The male has entered the well pad property on a number of occasions and has confronted workers. The incidents have been escalating, but no threats have been made yet. The male has been told several times to stay off the property, according to the complainant. The complainant was advised to report any future incidents. The nature of the call was listed as threats or harassment.
