WHEELING — One of America’s most beloved comedians is heading to Wheeling. Legendary stand-up comedian and former late-night television host Jay Leno will bring his live comedy show to the Capitol Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 26, for a night of sharp observations, hilarious storytelling, and classic stand-up.
Leno became a household name during his two-decade run as host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” where he led the #1-rated late-night program for much of his tenure. Today, he remains one of the busiest comedians in the business, performing more than 100 stand-up shows each year at theaters and venues across the country.
Beyond comedy, Leno is also widely known for his passion for automobiles. His popular “Jay Leno’s Garage” digital series and YouTube channel showcases rare and historic vehicles while highlighting the people behind them and has built a global audience of car enthusiasts.
Throughout his career, Leno has received numerous honors including Emmy Awards, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A venue pre-sale will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday, March 13.
