Flushing Twp. Cemetery clean-up set

Flushing Township’s annual cemetery clean-up at Rock Hill Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery and Belmont Ridge Cemetery is set in preparation of mowing season. Any grave blankets, grave pillows or decorations outside of the allowed 1-foot perimeter of the headstone will be disposed of after March 28.

United Steelworkers meeting planned

MARTINS FERRY – The United Steelworkers S.O.A.R. Chapter 23-9 will have their monthly meeting Wednesday, June 4, at the United Steelworkers Union Hall in Martins Ferry at 10 a.m.

Insurance representatives will be available to answer any questions. A guest speaker from the Belmont County Young Democrats will give a presentation. All retirees and their significant others are welcome to attend. Following the meeting, light refreshments will be available.

Martins Ferry Council to meet

MARTINS FERRY – The Martins Ferry City council will meet on Wednesday, March 25 at 5:30 PM in council chambers at the city building. The Meeting is open to the public.

Prevention luncheon planned

ST. Clairsville — A child abuse and neglect prevention luncheon will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7 at Undo’s West in St. Clairsville. This luncheon will be held by Belmont County Department of Job & Family services along with the Board of Commissioners will honor those who advocate for abused and neglected children.

Smith Twp. VFD Fish Fry

CENTERVILLE — The Smith Township Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry season began Feb. 20 at the fire station in Centerville (behind the Family Market). Dinners are served from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., every Friday until Good Friday. Orders can be placed beginning at noon, by calling 740-686-2150. Fish, chicken and shrimp will be offered. Social media will not be monitored for orders. Donations of baked goods are always accepted. For information call Patty at 740-310-0944.

Tri-County Water Authority report available

HARRISVILLE — The annual financial report of the Tri-County Water Authority for the Fiscal Year 2025, has been completed and is available for public inspection at the water office, located at 49350 Main Street, Harrisville, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to noon or 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. A copy of the report will be provided upon request.

Flushing Twp. meetings

FLUSHING — Flushing Township Trustees will hold all 2026 regular meetings the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Flushing Township Garage. If a meeting date needs to be rescheduled, the public will be informed.

Bridgeport BOE sets 2026 calendar

BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport Exempted Village School District’s Calendar Year 2026 Board of Education meetings on the following dates: April 15, and May 13 at 6 p.m at the District Administration Office and June 30, July 22, Aug. 12, Aug. 26, Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 18, and Dec. 16 at 4:30 p.m in the Bridgeport High School Media Center.

Board report is available

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Mental Health and Recovery Board announced its FY2025 Annual Board Report is available. Anyone wanting a copy can stop at the board office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 104 Newell Ave., St. Clairsville, or call 740-695-9998 or email judih@bhmboard.org for a copy.

County Land Reutilization Corp to meet

Belmont County Land Reutilization Corporation will hold its monthly meeting on Monday April 13 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Belmont County Board of Commissioner’s meeting room at the Belmont County courthouse and is open to the public.
