At 10:30 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 near the Moundsville exit in Meade Township issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for driving with no headlights.

At 10:12 p.m. Monday, a caller from the Holloway Fire Department reported that an illegal burn had been reported for the second time at the same address in Flushing Township.

At 9:54 p.m. Monday, a caller from Pennsylvania requested a welfare check on an individual in Pultney Township who has had a history of mental health issues. Contact was made. The individual was fine and denied the need for emergency medical service, according to the report.

At 8:33 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address in Meade Township reported a vehicle blocking his driveway. The caller reported that this has been happening often over the last week. A deputy patrolled the area but did not locate the vehicle.

At 10:20 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 southbound in Bellaire reported that a K-9 sniff resulted in a search of an Indiana vehicle in which a bag was located on the driver’s side of the vehicle with meth residue in the bag. Information was taken for a report.

At 7:04 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage only that occurred earlier in the day at McDonald’s on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville. The caller provided the license plate number and description of the vehicle that struck her vehicle. She said she spoke with the driver, and the driver denied striking her vehicle. The caller said she was not going to turn the accident in to her insurance company because it was a very minor scratch, but she wanted a call record of the incident to be on file.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address in Pease Township reported hearing a subject make a statement claiming he would kill his wife if she got everything in their divorce. The caller wished to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation, according to the report.

At 5:49 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 southbound near the 470 split reported that an Ohio driver of a vehicle registered in Indiana denied consent to search. A K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle, and two people were detained. The passenger was released, but the driver was taken to jail, the report stated.

At 5:42 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Addie Way in St. Clairsville for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A male in the vehicle was reportedly selling stuff. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

At 5:33 p.m. Monday, several officers were out at the Best Western on National Road with U.S. marshals serving a warrant. Drugs were found on a male, the report indicated. He was taken into custody and taken to jail.

At 3:45 p.m. Monday, a caller in Pease Township reported that people were gathering items from the scene of a fire. Officers responded, but no one was there upon their arrival. The neighbors stated that the fire department allowed the owners to access the scene to get their things.

At 12:18 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address in York Township reported neighbor trouble. She said she returned to an address where she had been residing to pick up two horses she owns that are being kept there. She said that a woman approached her there and gave her a hard time about removing the horses. Nothing criminal occurred, according to the officer who spoke with the complainant. She was advised to call back if the situation escalated.

At 11:59 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage only.

At 12:35 a.m. Monday, deputies patrolled the area of Denny’s on Red Roof Lane in St. Clairsville after a caller reported that people in a vehicle were beating a dog. Nothing was found, according to the report.
