At 11:41 p.m. Tuesday, officers assisted units from the St. Clairsville Police Department on a traffic stop on Maple Avenue near Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
At 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue in Bridgeport issued a verbal warning to an Ohio motorist for driving with an obstructed and expired tag.
At 10:41 p.m. Tuesday, a detective was out assisting the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 in Bellaire.
At 10:23 p.m. Tuesday, an officer went to the Belmont County Jail on a civil process to serve a temporary protection order.
At 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to a location on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville near Kroger for a report of a stolen phone. Information on the caller and the phone number of the missing phone were taken for the larceny report.
At 6:14 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy was out with a disabled vehicle on Ohio 331 near the Belmont Correctional Institution. The vehicle was off of the roadway, and a tow was coming for it, according to the report.
At 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Second Street in Lafferty reported an active domestic situation. A male left the scene in a truck. Deputies responded to the scene and took information for a report. Officers pinged the male’s cell phone and made contact with him. An emergency medical service squad was requested for a complaint of a broken wrist, according to the report. One male was taken to Trinity Medical Center in St. Clairsville and then to the Belmont County Jail.
At 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to Morristown Street in Flushing for a welfare check on an individual at the Wayne L. Hayes Apartments. Contact was made with the female, who was OK, the report stated.
At 10:58 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Riley Road in Bridgeport reported that a bicycle was taken between midnight and 4 a.m. A deputy responded and took information for a larceny report.
At 8:21 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport reported that there was an extension cord going from a house adjacent to a house that recently caught on fire and into a trailer. A deputy responded and spoke with individuals and advised them not to be running extension cords.
At 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from East Main Street in St. Clairsville reported that someone broke into a house on Morristown Street in Flushing through the basement and stripped multiple lines of copper, then trashed the house. Officers responded. Information was taken for a breaking and entering report.
At 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Treadway Road in Martins Ferry all night. A deputy responded and spoke with the complainant.
At 3:05 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that a male was passed out at an address on National Road in Bridgeport. The caller requested a welfare check on him. An EMS was requested. The male fell and wanted to be checked out, according to the report. The male was transported by squad and left his belongings behind the building, per his request.
At 2:11 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious occupied SUV on Pike Street in Neffs. According to the report, a female in the vehicle thought she was having car issues, but all was well, and she was to be on her way.
