At 11:21 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious male carrying around a Samurai sword was heading through a field near the Utica RV Park toward Pike 40 in Morristown. Officers patrolled the area but saw no sign of anyone going through the field. According to the report, the caller may be having mental health issues and hallucinations. At 12:55 a.m., the male called back wanting an update. A sergeant advised the caller to get some cameras.

At 11:17 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport reported that her neighbors keep revving the engine of a vehicle. Officers patrolled the area but did not locate the vehicle.

At 8:54 p.m. Monday, a caller at Oil City RV Park on Banfield Road in St. Clairsville reported that there was a semi driver who needed to turn the semi over to her. Units responded. The male advised he was gathering his items out of the truck and would exit. The truck was turned over to the caller.

At 8:10 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Balmer Road in Shadyside issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for speeding.

At 5:22 p.m. Monday, a caller reported that there was an intoxicated male with a head injury on Barnesville Street in Barnesville. The male was taken to WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital’s emergency room via Somerton emergency medical service.

At 4:42 p.m. Monday, a deputy checked the area of Willow Grove Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that someone in a Cyber Truck had attempted to get a juvenile into the vehicle. An officer responded, but did not locate the truck or the juvenile.

At 1:18 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Mall Road in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a motorist for performing an improper turn.

At 12:30 p.m. Monday, the principal and school resource officer at the Belmont Career Center advised a student that charges were going to be filed for a third offense of possessing a nicotine vape device.

At 10 a.m. Monday, a caller reported that a female was dozing off in the parking lot of Bellaire Elementary School on Pike Street in Bellaire. Deputies responded, but the female reportedly left before officers arrived.

At 9:48 p.m. Monday, an officer on a special detail responded to a location on 44th Street in Bellaire to perform a well check, but no contact was made with the individual.

At 9:41 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on New Cut Road in Bellaire to check on a 911 hangup call. There was a busy signal upon callback. The deputy made contact with the resident, and everything was OK.

At 9:11 a.m. Monday, a caller from Campbell Road in St. Clairsville reported that people up the road are shooting lasers from their gaming system.

At 7:51 a.m. Monday, a caller from Bellaire reported a possible threat made to him by an individual in July. A recording of a voicemail was sent to a sergeant’s email. The recording did contain direct threats but did state that the caller would “have a problem he couldn’t solve.” The caller wanted something on file.

At 7:45 p.m. Monday, a deputy was out with an occupied disabled vehicle on Pinch Run Road in Bellaire. The vehicle was out of gas. He was able to get gas and be on his way, the report stated.

At 5:47 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on the Interstate 70 westbound ramp at mile marker 225 in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Indiana motorist for a traffic control device violation.

At 4:13 a.m. Monday, emergency medical service personnel were out with a male laying in the roadway on National Road in Bridgeport. Deputies were requested. The Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
