Sunday, April 19
At 11:25 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that someone in a truck in the area of Methodist Ridge Road in St. Clairsville was driving fast and doing donuts in the roadway. A deputy responded, but did not locate the vehicle.
At 10:43 p.m. Sunday, an officer assisted Shadyside Police at an address on Wegee Lane in Shadyside after Marshall County 911 received a call about a male in distress.
At 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Brookside emergency medical service personnel requested law enforcement assistance for a combative patient at an address on Elm Street. Deputies responded to the scene. The patient was taken to the hospital, the report indicated.
At 7:01 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a verbal domestic situation between him and his wife at an address on Riggs Road in Bellaire. Officers responded. Parties were separated from the dispute, which was all verbal, according to the report. Information was taken.
At 5:38 p.m. Sunday, Barnesville Police requested assistance at an address on Pike Street in Barnesville. A deputy responded.
At 5:06 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported juveniles walking around screaming at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville. An officer responded, but he reported that it appeared the juveniles had left.
At 3:06 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Federal Street and Kinney Road in Beallsville reported that neighbors were making threats. Deputies responded to the scene and spoke with the neighbors, who stated they believed the caller was cutting threes on their property. The property line was checked, according to officers, who said everyone was working their own land.
At 2:48 p.m. Sunday, an officer was out at an address on Barton Road in St. Clairsville for someone burning in their front yard during a burn ban. The residents were advised of burn ban times, and they were putting the fire out, according to the report.
At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, central dispatch reported that the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested assistance to check on a possible disabled vehicle on Barton Road in St. Clairsville. The vehicle reportedly was blocking the lane. An officer checked the area on Barton Road but did not locate the vehicle.
At 1:33 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on National Road in Brookside reported harassment. An officer responded and spoke with both parties, but nothing criminal or threatening was noted.
At 8:54 a.m. Sunday, central dispatch reported a DOA at an address on Black Oak Road in Flushing. The county coroner and representatives from Toothman Funeral Home also responded, along with units from the sheriff’s office.
At 5:52 p.m. Sunday, emergency medical service personnel were on the scene for a medical alert at an address on Elm Street in Bridgeport, and the homeowner claimed that someone was in the house. Units responded. The house was cleared, according to the report.
At 4:18 p.m. Sunday, units responded to the Days Inn West on Holiday Drive in St. Clairsville for a report of a domestic situation. Both parties advised it was a misunderstanding.
At 2:07 p.m. Sunday, units checked for a suspicious vehicle with two occupants inside under the Moundsville Bridge in Mead Township. According to an officer, parties were having vehicle issues and were waiting for someone to help them.
At 1:20 p.m. Sunday, a deputy assisted St. Clairsville Police with a traffic stop on Commons Mall Crossing in St. Clairsville.
At 12:23 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Overbrook Drive in Bridgeport reported that his girlfriend squeezed his neck. Units responded, as did an officer from the Martins Ferry Police Department. Both parties reported that it was a verbal argument, not physical. Parties were separated for the evening.

Saturday, April 18
12:05 am. Martins Ferry PD assisted Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on the 400 Block of Aetna St.
01:22 am. A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near S Lincoln Ave. The driver was identified as a male. A written citation was issued for expired registration.
02:45 am. Officers were out on N 4th St near Short St for a building check. Officers found a damaged door. Officers searched the building, however they had negative contact with anyone.
06:13 am. A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near County Rd 4. The driver was identified as a female. A written citation was issued for a speed violation.
07:25 am. Officers responded to the 500 Block of N 9th St for a parking complaint. Officers made contact with the vehicle owners and the vehicles were moved.
09:16 am. Officers were out on N 4th St near Short St for a report of two individuals inside an abandoned building. Officers searched the building, however they had negative contact.
09:48 am. A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
11:54 am. Officers were out on the 100 Block of S 5th St for a parking complaint. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner, and the vehicle was moved.
01:51 pm. Officers were out on the 500 Block of Spence Ln to speak with a female regarding a previous incident, however they had negative contact.
02:07 pm. Officers were out on the 800 Block of W Vine St for a report of solicitors trying to get personal information. Officers spoke with the individuals and determined they did not have a valid permit through the city and were advised to get one during normal business hours. Officers cleared.
03:10 pm. Martins Ferry PD, Fire, and EMS were out on State Route 7 near N 5th St for a report of a motorcycle accident with unknown injury. Bridgeport EMS assisted with transporting the driver to the hospital. Naylor’s Towing was contacted to tow the vehicle. All the information was taken for a report.
03:52 pm. Officers were out on the 400 Block of N 8th St to speak with a male regarding dogs running at large. Officers checked the surrounding areas, however they had negative contact.
05:56 pm. Officers responded to the 300 Block of Hanover St for a report of a physical altercation between a group of individuals. All the individuals left prior to police arrival. Officers checked surrounding areas, however they had negative contact.
07:39 pm. Martins Ferry PD assisted Bridgeport PD with a traffic stop on Marion St near Interstate 70.
10:34 pm. Officers were out on the 800 Block of Elm St for a report of a verbal dispute. Martins Ferry EMS was requested to evaluate a male bitten by a dog, however the male refused medical attention. Officers determined everything was fine and cleared.
11:27 pm. Officers were out on the 300 Block of S 3rd St for a report of a verbal domestic dispute between a female and an intoxicated male. Both individuals were separated for the rest of the night. Officers cleared.
