Wednesday April 8

01:52 am. Officers were out on the 400 Block of Aetna St for a building check. All the doors were secured.

05:42 am. Martins Ferry PD and K9 assisted Ohio State Highway Patrol on State Route 7 near Public Rd Exit with an open-air sniff on a traffic stop. Martins Ferry K9 had a negative indication on the search. All units cleared.

07:37 am. Officers responded to the area of Euclid Ave near W Vine St for a juvenile in distress. Officers spoke with the juveniles’ parent, and it was determined the juvenile was only locked out of the residence. Officers cleared.

09:55 pm. A female came on station to speak with an officer regarding a female making threats to physically harm her. Officers attempted contact with a female on the 1800 Block of N 9th St regarding this incident, however they had negative contact. All the information was taken for a report.

12:03 pm. A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near Hanover St. The driver was identified as a female. A written citation was issued for expired registration.

12:21 pm. Martins Ferry PD assisted Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on State Route 7 near Hanover St.

12:41 pm. An officer was out at a local rehabilitation center to speak with a male regarding a previous incident.

01:21 pm. A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding threats from a female. The male was given advice. Officers cleared.

02:37 pm. Officers were out on the 1800 Block of N 9th St regarding a previous incident.

03:29 pm. Officers were out on the 500 Block of Mackey Ave for a verbal dispute between a group of individuals. All the individuals were separated. Officers cleared.

04:10 pm. Officers were out on the 800 Block of Walnut St for a verbal domestic dispute between a male and female. The male left prior to police arrival. Officers determined the incident as only a verbal altercation, not physical. Officers cleared.

04:21 pm. A female came on station to speak to an officer regarding inappropriate messages she received from another individual. The female was given advice. Officers cleared.

05:53 pm. A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near County Rd 4. The driver was identified as a male. A verbal warning was issued for improper display.

08:12 pm. Officers were out on the 1800 Block of N 9th St for a follow-up regarding a previous incident.

09:37 pm. Officers were out on the 800 Block of W Vine St for a verbal domestic dispute between a male and female. Officers determined the altercation was only verbal, not physical. Both individuals were separated. Officers cleared.

10:09 pm. Officers were out on Washington St near Catawba St regarding a noise complaint. Officers advised individuals of the noise ordinance, and a verbal warning was issued. Officers cleared.

11:03 pm. A traffic stop was initiated on Colerain Pike near Ayers Limestone Rd. The driver was identified as a male. A verbal warning was issued for improper display.

11:38 pm. Officers check the area for a BOLO from Ohio State Highway Patrol. Officers had negative contact.
