— At 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, a traffic stop on the 100 block of North Fifth Street led to drug charges after a man admitted narcotics were inside the vehicle. Officers conducted a probable cause search, located the drugs and filed charges.
— At 1:38 a.m. Tuesday, a man came to the police station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
— At 8:28 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 100 block of Hanover Street for a minor single-vehicle accident. Information was taken for a report.
— At 9:04 a.m. Tuesday, officers checked dilapidated residences on the 1300 block of Terrace Street.
— At 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, officers conducted a welfare check on the 1800 block of North Ninth Street but were unable to make contact with the woman involved.
— At 1:51 p.m. Tuesday, officers conducting a follow-up welfare check on the 500 block of Clinton Street made contact with a woman. Martins Ferry EMS responded and transported her to a hospital.
— At 4:14 p.m. Tuesday, officers investigated a suspicious man on North Zane Highway near Hanover Street. After speaking with him, officers advised him to move along.
— At 4:38 p.m. Tuesday, Martins Ferry Police Department assisted the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office in clearing a residence after an open door was discovered on Ferryview Road near Highland Avenue.
— At 5:31 p.m. Tuesday, Martins Ferry Police Department assisted Bridgeport Police Department with a domestic disturbance on the 400 block of Bennett Street.
— At 7:32 p.m. Tuesday, officers conducted a follow-up investigation on the 200 block of North Fifth Street related to a previous incident.
— At 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, officers spoke with two solicitors on Crawford Street near Broadway Street and advised them on how to obtain a solicitor’s permit.
— At 8:57 p.m. Tuesday, a traffic stop on State Route 7 near Hanover Street resulted in one woman being taken into custody and transported to Belmont County Jail. Wheeling Police Department K-9 officers and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
— At 10:09 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a disabled vehicle on State Route 7 near Aetna Street that appeared to have been involved in an accident. Bridgeport Police Department was contacted to take the report because the crash occurred outside Martins Ferry police jurisdiction.

— 11:23 p.m. Wednesday: A caller in Flushing Township asked to file a report about a staff member at a facility abusing a resident. Information was taken for a report.
— 8:37 p.m. Wednesday: An officer responded to the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a report of juveniles vandalizing the mall. The officer reported there was no property damage, and the juveniles were released to an adult.
— 8:29 p.m. Wednesday: A caller from a business on East High Street in Flushing requested extra patrols overnight for speeding enforcement.
— 6:50 p.m. Wednesday: A caller on Hope Lane in Bridgeport reported her husband was having mental health issues and needed a wellness check. At 7:16 p.m., a responding officer reported the male was fine and advised that his ex was starting problems, according to the report.
— 6:48 p.m. Wednesday: A deputy followed up on a previous dine-and-dash call at Buffalo Wild Wings. The officer contacted a male at an address in Pultney Township, and the subject was getting someone to take him to settle his bill.
— 6:36 p.m. Wednesday: An officer on a traffic stop in Pease Township reportedly was given consent to search a vehicle, and drugs were found on the driver. A detective took possession of the drugs, and one female was transported to jail.
— 6:07 p.m. Wednesday: A caller in Richland Township reported there was a female in his yard crying. At 6:32 p.m., contact was made, and a deputy transported the female to the mall, according to the report.
— 4:27 p.m. Wednesday: A deputy responded to Buffalo Wild Wings for a dine-and-dash complaint. The manager provided a license plate number for the suspect’s vehicle. A deputy spoke with the suspect at his residence and told him to return and pay his bill. At 7:19 p.m., he did so, and restaurant management did not wish to pursue charges.

— 3:03 p.m. Wednesday: A deputy responded to an address in Pease Township for a report of someone shooting and bullets hitting the caller’s house. Upon arrival, the officer reported no bullet holes were observed. A rock had been thrown from across the road, according to the report.
— 2:51 p.m. Wednesday: Units responded to a report of a verbal domestic issue at an address in Richland Township. A female requested an emergency medical services squad for a mental health evaluation.
