12:09 a.m. — Officers were on State Route 7 near Aetna Street with a male walking on the highway. Officers gave the male a courtesy ride to the 700 block of Broadway Street.
5:55 p.m. — A traffic stop was initiated in the 300 block of Hanover Street. The driver, a male, was issued a verbal warning for a speed violation.
8:24 a.m. — Officers assisted the Martins Ferry Water Department with a parking complaint. Officers had negative contact with the vehicle owners.
8:43 a.m. — Martins Ferry Police and Fire Department responded to the 200 block of South 7th Street for a fire alarm activation.
9:53 a.m. — A female came to the police station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
10:18 a.m. — A female came to the police station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
10:50 a.m. — Officers responded to the 500 block of South 3rd Street for a welfare check on a male. Officers had negative contact but determined the male had been transported to the hospital earlier in the morning.
11:03 a.m. — Martins Ferry Police assisted the school resource officer with an incident at the school.
11:55 a.m. — Officers responded to the 700 block of Dewey Street for a minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Information was collected for a report.
12:12 p.m. — Martins Ferry Police assisted the school resource officer with an incident at the school.
12:28 p.m. — Martins Ferry Police assisted the school resource officer with an incident at the school.
2:39 p.m. — Martins Ferry Police assisted Belmont County Adult Probation with a warrant service in the 700 block of Walnut Street.
2:47 p.m. — Officers spoke with a female in the 500 block of Ohio Avenue regarding a civil issue. She was referred to the courts.
2:51 p.m. — Officers assisted a disabled vehicle on Broadway Street near Buckeye Street. The vehicle was moved off the roadway.
2:58 p.m. — Officers assisted a disabled vehicle on State Route 7 near Aetna Street. The vehicle was moved off the roadway.
4:02 p.m. — A male came to the station for fingerprinting services.
4:17 p.m. — Officers were on State Route 7 near Hanover Street with two juveniles riding bicycles on the highway. Belmont County Children Services was contacted. The juveniles were released to their parents.
5:38 p.m. — Officers spoke with a male on North Zane Highway near Hanover Street and provided advice.
9:48 p.m. — Martins Ferry Police, Fire and EMS responded to North 4th Street near Short Street for an odor investigation.
BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
9 p.m. Monday — An officer conducted a traffic stop on National Road in Brookside and issued a warning to an Ohio driver for a headlight violation.
7:05 p.m. Monday — A caller from an address on Old Township Road in Bellaire reported that six shots were fired toward her while she was in her hot tub. The caller believed the shots came from an address on Merritt’s Row. An officer spoke with both parties and found no evidence to support the claim, according to the report.
7 p.m. Monday — A deputy was requested to identify shoplifting suspects at Boscov’s at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville. Both individuals had West Virginia operator’s licenses, the report stated.
6:15 p.m. Monday — A caller from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office requested a welfare check on a male at an address on Home Street in St. Clairsville. An officer responded and reported all was well.
5:04 p.m. Monday — Officers responded to an address on Meadow Avenue in St. Clairsville for a report of a verbal domestic dispute. Units met a female at an auto parts store, and a be-on-the-lookout was issued for the male.
1:51 p.m. Monday — Deputies responded to Union Local Elementary School for a report of possible abuse and threats involving a juvenile. Information was collected and forwarded to Child Protective Services, according to the report.
7:10 a.m. Monday — A caller from Dollar General on Ohio 7 in Powhatan Point reported a male was trespassing, yelling at customers and throwing trash from a dumpster. Deputies responded.
2:36 p.m. Monday — A caller from St. Clairsville reported her 15-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by her 16-year-old boyfriend. Officers responded and gathered information for a report. The incident was classified as rape.
8:42 p.m. Sunday — Officers responded to Saffell Church Road in Alledonia for a side-by-side accident. According to the report, a male had a branch go through the floorboard of the vehicle and impale him in the groin area. A medical helicopter was requested. A deputy assisted in rendering aid before the flight arrived, the report stated.
7:49 p.m. Sunday — A caller from National Road in Bridgeport reported a bicycle stolen. An officer responded and took information for a theft report.
6:24 p.m. Sunday — A 911 call from an address on Pancoast Road in Belmont produced only static on the line. The number was linked to an internet-based phone service, not a landline, according to the report.
5:30 p.m. Sunday — A caller reported a hit-skip incident in the parking lot outside Verizon Wireless in the Ohio Valley Plaza in St. Clairsville. A cart return was struck and knocked into a vehicle, causing minor damage. Surveillance footage reviewed by deputies showed a pickup truck striking the cart return and leaving the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
2:25 p.m. Sunday — A caller reported a suspicious male wearing a mask and gloves walking toward Kroger from Staples in the Ohio Valley Plaza in St. Clairsville. Units checked the area but did not locate the male.
1:36 p.m. Sunday — A caller reported a male attempted to assault another male at an address on Fourth Street in Glencoe. The alleged victim requested the 911 call before the other party left the scene. Deputies responded and gathered information for a report.
11:34 a.m. Sunday — Officers responded to Rural King on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville for a report of shoplifting. The suspect had left the area before deputies arrived. Store surveillance footage was available and an investigation is pending, according to the report.
10:04 a.m. Sunday — Loss prevention personnel at Walmart in the Ohio Valley Plaza reported a couple using a barcode scam to obtain money. Deputies responded, but the suspects had already left. Another agency took the report.
2:47 a.m. Sunday — A caller reported a female arrived at his home on Broadview Road in Shadyside after being chased by someone on Ohio 7. The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded and handled the call, according to the report.
1:23 a.m. Sunday — A 911 call from Breezy Point Lane in Bellaire came in with buzzing on the line. A callback went to voicemail. A deputy checked the residence and made contact with an individual who reported everything was fine.
12:58 a.m. Sunday — A caller from Starlight Drive in Bridgeport reported a male had been drugged at the casino on Wheeling Island and was now at home. EMS responded and transported the male to the hospital. Authorities were advised to contact the Wheeling Police Department regarding the incident.
