Tuesday
2:31 a.m. — Officers were out on the 600 Block of Columbus Ave for a noise complaint. Officers did not hear anything on scene.
9:20 a.m. — Martins Ferry PD assisted the SRO with an incident at the school.
9:45 a.m. — Officers were out on the 700 Block of Monroe St with a dog running at large. Belmont County Animal Shelter was contacted. Officers cleared.
10:40 a.m. — A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near Hanover St. The driver was identified as a female. A written citation was issued for a speed violation.
11:54 a.m. — Officers responded to Martins Ferry City Park for a report of a physical altercation. Officers had negative contact with anyone.
12:12 p.m. — Officers responded to Martins Ferry City Park for a report of a verbal dispute between individuals. Officers did a walkthrough and had negative contact.
3:32 p.m. — A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding unauthorized use of a vehicle. All the information was taken for a report.
4:17 p.m. — A traffic stop was initiated on the 400 Block of Aetna St. The driver was identified as a male. Officers requested a K9 unit, however no one was available. A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.
4:44 p.m. — Officers were out on the 400 Block of S 4th St to check on an unoccupied structure. Officers advised that the code enforcer would be notified due to recent damages. Officers were unable to properly secure the structure.
4:48 p.m. — Officers were out on the 500 Block of Spence Ln to speak with an intoxicated male. Officers transported the male to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Officers cleared.
4:51 p.m. — A traffic stop was initiated on S 4th St near Hickory St. The driver was identified as a male. Officers received consent to search the vehicle, however there were negative findings. A verbal warning was issued for a turn signal violation.
5:25 p.m. — Officers were on State Route 7 near Hill St for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked State Route 7 from Picoma Rd to Aetna St, northbound and southbound, however they had negative contact.
5:57 p.m. — A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
6:09 p.m. — Officers responded to the 500 Block of S 3rd St regarding a theft. All the items were returned, and the caller did not want to pursue charges. Officers cleared.
7:08 p.m. — Officers were out on the 1800 Block of Hill St regarding juveniles causing a disturbance. Officers gave the juveniles advice and cleared.
7:56 p.m. — Officers were out on the 200 Block of S Zane Hwy for a welfare check on a female. Martins Ferry EMS was requested due to the female having a medical emergency.
8:13 p.m. — A female came on station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.
8:47 p.m. — Officers were out on the 400 Block of N 7th St regarding an open door to a residence. Officers cleared the residence and had negative contact with anyone.
8:59 p.m. — Officers were out on the 500 Block of S 3rd St regarding a follow-up on a previous incident.

Tuesday
11:54 p.m. — an anonymous caller reported seeing someone break through the door of a residence near the church on Hall Street in Maynard. The area was patrolled, and several nearby residences were checked, but nothing was found.
10:36 p.m. — St. Clairsville Police requested assistance from the sheriff’s office with a traffic stop on North Marietta Street in St. Clairsville. Three officers responded.
10:12 p.m. — officers assisted Bridgeport Police with an attempt at warrant service at an address on West Second Street in Bridgeport.
6:36 p.m. — a deputy responded to an address on Hollyview Drive near Adena for a report of a stripped vehicle.
6:29 p.m. — an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 northbound near Interstate 470 in Bellaire issued a written warning for driving under suspension.
5:20 p.m. — a deputy responded to Gamble-Hughes Road in Jacobsburg for a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol regarding four-wheelers and motorcycles on the roadway. The OSHP reportedly would no longer respond to the area. A deputy responded but found nothing.
5:01 p.m. — a caller from an address on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire reported a license plate stolen from a vehicle. The complainant planned to visit the sheriff’s office to complete a missing/stolen plate report.
3:47 p.m. — a caller from an address on Teberi Drive in Armstrong Mills reported an attempted phone scam. The complainant said an uncle for whom she provides care was also receiving similar calls. The bank confirmed it was not contacting them. No money was taken and no information was provided, according to the report.
2:53 p.m. — a sergeant on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near mile marker 221 in Richland Township issued a warning for speeding.
2:27 p.m. — a complainant from an address on Provident Road in St. Clairsville reported harassment by neighbors at the sheriff’s office. The complainant was instructed on how to file for a civil protection order.
2:13 p.m. — a deputy responded to Oak Street in Bethesda where a complainant reported a neighbor placing hot ashes on his property. The officer spoke with both parties, and the issue was to be resolved between them, according to the report.
1:52 p.m. — officers on a traffic stop on 42nd Street in Bellaire reported that one occupant had an active Belmont County warrant. The driver was issued a written warning for an obstructed windshield. Nothing was found during a vehicle search, according to the report. One male was taken to jail.
1:22 p.m. — officers responded to East Sharon Road in Colerain for a domestic complaint relayed from the Bridgeport Police Department. Information was taken for a report.
8:34 a.m. — deputies responded to Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont for a report of a shoplifting incident. A female reportedly had multiple items in a bag, according to the report.
8:29 a.m. — a deputy responded to Mutton Hollow Road in Martins Ferry for a complaint about a scam. The officer spoke with a female, and the matter was determined to be legitimate and resolved.
7:57 a.m. — a maintenance worker at Powhatan Elementary School on Mt. Victory Road in Powhatan Point reported being bitten by a loose dog on school property. The worker had secured the animal and was attempting to return it to the owner when the bite occurred on the left leg.
12:48 a.m. — officers assisted St. Clairsville Police on East Lawn at Commons Mall Crossing in St. Clairsville on a traffic stop. While on scene, a vehicle nearly struck officers. The driver was stopped and arrested at Tiger Mart.
