SHADYSIDE — OR&W Fire District, Bellaire Volunteer Fire Department, Neffs Volunteer Fire Department, Moundsville Fire Department and the Belmont County Tanker Task Force responded Wednesday afternoon to a trailer fire on Weegee Road.

Assistant Chief Chris Wiles said crews were dispatched at 1:51 p.m. for a reported dryer fire.

Wiles said firefighters brought the situation under control in about 10 minutes.

Three residents were evaluated at the scene for possible injuries but were not transported to the hospital.

“It’s hard to tell that it was even on fire, there’s no damage to the front of it,” Wiles said. “But they’ve got insurance, so I’m sure they’re probably going to total it.”

Moundsville and Shadyside police also responded to the scene.
