BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Tuesday
— 10:19 p.m., a caller reported that a male took her vehicle and had not returned it. The male was allowed to have the vehicle for one day. A firearm was missing from the residence, also, according to the report. A deputy responded to an address on Provident Road in St. Clairsville and took information for a report.
— 10:31 p.m., a caller said she and her boyfriend got into an argument and she requested law enforcement and emergency medical services for low sugar. The caller, who was listed as homeless, was waiting by the bridge in Maynard, according to the report. She was transported to the hospital for a sugar issue. No domestic incident was reported.
— 10:28 p.m., an anonymous caller from an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport reported people going in and out of a location there that was supposed to be empty. An officer responded and was out with a male subject, who was moving belongings out of the house.
— 10:18 p.m., a caller from an address on Lake Street in Bethesda issued a noise complaint, reporting that juveniles were blaring music by the pavilion. A deputy responded and patrolled the area. The pavilion area was clear and no one else was in the park. No music could be heard, the report stated.
— 9:06 p.m., a caller from Boscov’s at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville reported that a female in the store was under the influence and was headed toward a vehicle. An officer responded and was out with the female, who was in her vehicle. She was not under the influence, according to the report.
— 8:04 p.m., an officer was out assisting St. Clairsville Police at an address on South Marietta Street in St. Clairsville.
— 5:36 p.m., deputies responded to an address on Commercial Drive in Bridgeport after a caller reported that a juvenile female hit him. According to officers, this was a sibling argument and they were separated.
— 5:04 p.m., a deputy was out at West Main and Butler streets in St. Clairsville assisting police units on a traffic stop.
— 4:02 p.m., a deputy was out at a location on Executive Drive in St. Clairsville to take information for a complaint regarding allegations of missing money.
— 4:40 p.m., officers responded to an address on Stenger Road in Morristown for a report of a semi damaging private property and the property owner hitting the truck with a weed trimmer.
— 1:05 p.m., an officer on a special detail accompanied representatives from Child Protective Services to a location on Somerton Highway in Barnesville.
— 2:51 p.m., deputies responded to an address on Colerain Pike after a juvenile called 911 looking for their dad. When officers arrived, people at the residence stated the call did not come from them.
— 12:05 p.m., a 911 hang-up call was received from an address on West Main Street in Morristown. Upon callback, a female answered but then hung up again. A sergeant responded to the address and spoke with a male, who had a cell phone. There was no female there. All was good, according to the report.
— 11:44 a.m., the sheriff was out with a vehicle moving at a slow rate of speed with its hazard lights engaged on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 215 in Richland Township. It was a new car, and the driver may have hit a button, according to the report. The motorist believed the issue was fixed but was going to the dealership on U.S. 40 for information about it, the report indicated.
— 9:01 a.m., a caller from an address on South Leatherwood Road in Barnesville reported that her husband broke a temporary protection order by messing with the mail. A sergeant went to the Barnesville Post Office to confirm that the change of address was only for the male. The female caller was advised to contact her attorney.
— 7:32 p.m., a caller reported a non-fatal overdose at America’s Best Value Inn on National Road in St. Clairsville. The female was responsive and was being transported by the Cumberland Trail Fire District to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.
— 5:11 a.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a female at America’s Best Value Inn on National Road in St. Clairsville. A deputy responded and spoke to the concerned caller and a daughter. The officer responded to the room but did not come in contact with the female. The deputy cleared the scene.

Wednesday
— 6:00 a.m. Officers were out on the 200 block of N. 7th St. regarding a possible stolen vehicle. After speaking with the caller, officers determined the vehicle was repossessed. Officers cleared.
— 1:02 p.m. Officers were out on State Route 7 near Picoma Road with a disabled vehicle. Naylor’s Towing was contacted. Officers cleared.
— 1:31 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on N. 5th St. near Center St. The driver was identified as a female. A verbal warning was issued for driving left of center.
— 1:39 p.m. Officers were out on the 500 block of Spence Ln. to serve civil papers to a male.
— 4:23 p.m. Officers were flagged down on Center St. near N. 5th St. by a female stating her window was busted out. All information was taken for a report.
— 6:25 p.m. Officers were out on the 400 block of Aetna St. regarding a minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries. All information was taken for a report, and the striking unit was issued a citation for assured clear distance.
— 7:00 p.m. Officers were out on the 1000 block of Broadway St. regarding a noise complaint from a vehicle. Officers had negative contact.
— 8:00 p.m. A female came to the station to speak with an officer regarding an unruly juvenile. The juvenile and female were given advice. Officers cleared.
— 9:15 p.m. Martins Ferry PD assisted Bridgeport PD with a traffic stop on State Route 7 near Kilgore Road.
— 9:50 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on Broadway St. near School St. The driver was identified as a female. A verbal warning was issued for no license plate light and expired registration.
— 10:45 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on N. Zane Highway near Seabright’s Lane. The driver was identified as a male. Officers received consent to search the vehicle; however, there were negative findings. A written citation was issued for expired registration.
