BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
–11:01 p.m. Tuesday: Deputies assisted St. Clairsville Police in clearing a rental house on East Main Street in St. Clairsville. Nothing was found, the report stated.
–10:54 p.m. Tuesday: A caller was in a parking lot on East Lawn Avenue in St. Clairsville and reported she was having issues with her boyfriend. A deputy assisted St. Clairsville Police on the call. The deputy transported the female to Crescent Road and Barton-Crescent Road, where she got into her boyfriend’s vehicle, according to the report.
–8:12 p.m. Tuesday: A caller from Poland Road in Flushing requested assistance removing a snake from his home. An officer responded, and the snake was removed.
–7:17 p.m. Tuesday: A caller from A1 Fuel Mart on High Ridge Road in St. Clairsville reported a homeless person in front of the store who did not want to leave. Deputies responded and took the female to the area of the Social Security office in Wheeling.
–6:34 p.m. Tuesday: A caller from West Cross Street in Morristown reported a male on her porch. The male lives at a nearby mental health facility, she said. An officer responded, and the male was returned to his home, according to the report.
–6:31 p.m. Tuesday: A caller from Fox Run on Traco Drive in St. Clairsville reported a female resident was attacking people. Officers responded, and one female was transported to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.
–4:52 p.m. Tuesday: A deputy responded to the Knights Inn on National Road East in St. Clairsville after a female dropped off earlier by Richland Township Police did not have a room or funds to get one. The deputy transported her to A1 Fuel Mart.
–5:40 p.m. Tuesday: A sergeant responded to the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville to inform mall security of a bomb threat situation.
–4:38 p.m. Tuesday: Deputies and detectives responded to the Ohio Valley Mall for a bomb threat. All dumpsters in the area were inspected. Nothing was found to be out of order around the perimeter or mall, according to the report.
–5:35 p.m. Tuesday: A deputy responded to Tilt Arcade at the Ohio Valley Mall on Mall Ring Road after a 911 hangup call. Contact was made with the caller, and everything was OK, according to the report.
–2:46 p.m. Tuesday: A caller from Belmont-Warnock Road in Belmont reported a neighbor hit her duck with a shovel after it went into the neighbor’s yard and attacked a chicken. An officer responded and spoke to both parties. The neighbor admitted to the incident and apologized to the caller’s grandmother. The animals were returned to their proper locations, according to the report.
–2:54 p.m. Tuesday: An officer on a traffic stop on Howard Street in Bridgeport issued a warning for a traffic control device violation.
–12:40 p.m. Tuesday: Deputies responded to Gibas Road in Bellaire for a report of a female tearing up a house. Officers arrived and reported the incident was verbal and the female was leaving the residence.
–11:36 a.m. Tuesday: Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with property damage only on Interstate 470 westbound near Exit 6 in Pultney Township. A vehicle went into a guardrail, according to the report. The driver denied medical attention. Photos were taken and a report completed.
–8:22 a.m. Tuesday: A caller requested information on how to trespass an individual at Pine Lakes Trailer Court on National Road in Belmont. A deputy advised on the procedure.
–7:43 a.m. Tuesday: Deputies assisted with a vehicle with a flat tire on Ohio 7 northbound near Shadyside. The tire was changed, and the motorist continued on her way.
–2:52 a.m. Tuesday: A caller on Airport Road in St. Clairsville reported a large truck turned around in his yard and caused damage. Officers responded, and the driver was cited, the report stated.
–1:03 a.m. Tuesday: Units responded to Water Tower Road in Belmont for a dog warden matter involving dogs at large and a welfare check request on a property owner. Officers made contact with the owner, and the dogs were secured in a fenced area.
–10:41 p.m. Monday: Officers on East Main Street in Barnesville issued a warning for driving with one working headlight.
–10:30 p.m. Monday: A police unit was flagged down outside Walmart on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville by a complainant reporting two juveniles panhandling. Officers spoke with store management.
–10:18 p.m. Monday: Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a rollover crash on New Cut Road in Shadyside.
–6:25 p.m. Monday: A sergeant contacted a complainant who said his wife let a male use her phone and the male had been missing since that morning. He was believed to be on his way to Heath, Ohio.
–5:57 p.m. Monday: Deputies responded to Mehlman Road in Bellaire for an illegal dumpsite report.
–5:39 p.m. Monday: A deputy checked Interstate 470 westbound in St. Clairsville for a trailer with missing wheels. The trailer observed had all wheels intact.
–5:14 p.m. Monday: A deputy recovered a loose dog on Roscoe Road in Richland Township. The dog was returned to its owner.
–12:07 p.m. Monday: A traffic stop on National Road in Bridgeport resulted in a warning for a turn signal violation.
–12:06 p.m. Monday: Deputies responded to National Road in Bridgeport for a report of a check being altered and cashed.
–12:02 p.m. Monday: A complainant came to the station from Colerain to report a credit card scam. A report was taken.
–11:15 a.m. Monday: A complainant on Conno Mara Drive in Bellaire reported his daughter had taken his car without permission.
–10:41 a.m. Monday: Deputies responded to Skyline Drive in Shadyside for a family dispute involving a child discipline issue. The incident was determined to be noncriminal.
–7:40 p.m. Monday: A deputy assisted a motorist on Interstate 470 westbound near Bellaire after a radiator hose failure. The driver had help on the way.

Tuesday
–5:51 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1300 block of Terrace Street for a disabled vehicle. Bill’s Towing was contacted.
–9:51 a.m.: An officer made a callback to a female regarding a previous incident.
–2:52 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1200 block of Pearl Street for a juvenile causing a disturbance. Officers spoke with the grandparents, and the juvenile will be disciplined.
–4:38 p.m.: Officers in the area of state Route 7 and Aetna Street checked for a reckless driver reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. No contact was made.
–4:42 p.m.: A female came to the station regarding retrieving belongings from evidence. She was advised on the proper paperwork.
–5:33 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of Ohio Avenue for a parking complaint. The vehicle was not parked illegally.
–6:23 p.m.: Martins Ferry police assisted Bridgeport police with a possible physical altercation on Gould Park Road near Gould Road.
–7:06 p.m.: Martins Ferry police assisted Bridgeport police with a traffic stop involving a subject with a warrant on North Lincoln Avenue near Aetna Street.
–7:10 p.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of Aetna Street for a male possibly under the influence. He was determined to be under the influence and was taken into custody and transported to the Belmont County Jail.
–8:18 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of North Eighth Street for an irate male causing a disturbance. The incident stemmed from another jurisdiction.
–8:50 p.m.: Officers responded again to the 500 block of North Eighth Street regarding a previous incident.
–10:52 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of Broadway Street for a domestic dispute. The incident was verbal only.
–11:41 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of South Third Street for a noise complaint and advised residents of the city noise ordinance.
