BELLAIRE - A Bellaire man was arrested on 10 felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, according to the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.

Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack said that Landon Alexander Gray, 29, of Bellaire, was taken to Belmont County Jail, where is being held without bond pending an arraignment scheduled for later this week. Zusack said Gray is connected to a multistate investigation involving the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Belmont County Sheriff’s detectives, along with state and federal partners, made the arrest. The investigation into the matter remains ongoing.

Gray also is wanted in Louisiana for multiple sexual-related offenses related to this investigation and will be extradited upon the conclusion of the Belmont County case.

"The exploitation of children constitutes one of the most severe crimes we investigate, Zusack said. “Our message is unequivocal: if you engage in the exploitation of children or traffic in material depicting their abuse, we will employ every available investigative resource to identify you, collect evidence, and apprehend you, adhering to our zero tolerance policy.”

Zusack extended his gratitude to the FBI, Louisiana State Police, and the Bellaire Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
