The caller had this incident recorded on doorbell video. A deputy responded. Upon arrival, the deputy located a Walmart package on the porch. The homeowner concurred that the person on his porch was a delivery driver.
-- 10:06 p.m. Sunday, a caller from the Pine Lake Trailer Court on National Road in Belmont reported that she heard four gunshots and did not believe they were fireworks. The caller reported that she had ongoing issues with her ex, and he carries a firearm. A deputy patrolled the area. The neighbors directly behind the caller’s residence were setting off fireworks. The officer did not locate anyone shooting guns, according to the report.
-- 7:37 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Upland Avenue in Bridgeport reported that an intoxicated male from Highland Avenue was being rude, yelling and threatening people. Officers responded and spoke with all parties. Nobody wanted to file criminal charges at this time, but they wanted the incident on record.
-- 7:24 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that someone broke into his house on Main Street in St. Clairsville and two Xbox units were missing. A deputy responded to take information for a report.
-- 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a deputy spoke to a sergeant about a vandalism reported at the Lafferty Veterans Honor Roll memorial site. The officer collected information for an investigation and made contact with the individual involved. A report was to be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
-- 5:12 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Patterson Run Road in Bridgeport reported that roofers were drinking alcohol while putting a roof on his property. The caller discontinued the roofer service and acknowledged that this issue was a civil matter. The caller was going to meet with the contractor so they could retrieve tools.
-- 3:58 p.m. Sunday, a deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage only near Arby’s on Valley Centre Boulevard in St. Clairsville. Information was gathered for a crash report.
-- 3:55 p.m. Sunday, central dispatch received a call from a female who was a resident of Helen Gregg Road in Bethesda stating that she and her intoxicated husband were on an ATV in the Egypt Valley area, and he will not get on the ATV to go home. Several units responded. The caller stated that her husband was bleeding from the head but was not sure what he did, and her phone was almost dead. Units searched the area on UTVs. Contact was made with the caller and her husband. An emergency medical squad responded to evaluate the male.
-- 3:40 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Hampton Inn and Suites on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville reported that $1,200 was stolen from his wallet. She requested to speak with a deputy. She advised the officer that she did not wish to file a complaint at this time, just a request to have a record on file until after speaking with her manager, according to the report.
-- 3:02 p.m. Sunday, an anonymous caller reported that a neighbor was intoxicated on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire and she was banging on someone’s door, being very belligerent and making threats. A deputy responded and patrolled the area but did not locate anyone.
-- 12:33 p.m. Sunday, a caller advised that a man was passed out behind the wheel of a red SUV near Tom’s Carry Out on Ohio 7 in Powhatan Point. An officer responded and reported that the male was fine.
-- 11:45 a.m. Sunday, a caller from Gibas Road in Neffs reported finding a gun near the baseball field. An officer responded and took information for a report.
-- 11 a.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Washington Street in Barnesville reported that he was assaulted. Officers responded to complete a report.
-- 6:17 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway on Harrah Street in Flushing. A unit was out with the vehicle, which was wrecked. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was called to respond.
-- 12:23 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that his wife was home alone on Somerton Highway in Barnesville and someone was pounding on the door. A deputy responded and requested a unit from the Barnesville Police Department. The police officer advised the deputy to cancel, noting that two dogs were struck and the person knocking was trying to locate their owner. The owner of the dogs was on the scene.
