-- 11:12 p.m. A 911 hang-up call was received from an address on Nicole Lane in Bellaire. The caller advised that she was playing on her phone and accidentally called 911. She said she had just woken up and was getting ready for work. A deputy responded and spoke with the caller’s mother, who advised the officer that her daughter had just left for work, but it was an accident and all was well.
-- 9:22 p.m. A caller from an address on Colerain Pike in Martins Ferry reported someone was burning trash in the driveway. The fire department arrived on the scene, where there were four men burning copper. Firefighters also advised that a man had removed a license plate from a car. When deputies arrived, the man denied taking the license plate. Consent was given to search the vehicle, and the license plate was seized, according to the report. The man was advised that he cannot operate the vehicle on a public roadway. Individuals were told to put out the fire.
-- 8:55 p.m. Dispatch was advised of a neighbor complaint at an address on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire. A child had put paint on a playhouse, according to the report. Deputies arrived and spoke with both parties. They were advised that it was a civil matter.
-- 7:20 p.m. A caller from an address on Merritt Row in Bellaire reported that her ex was driving around the area and requested to speak with a deputy. An officer responded and advised that extra patrols could be conducted in the area. She was advised to call if he returned.
-- 7:19 p.m. Central dispatch advised of a possible domestic incident in which boiling water was thrown on a man at an address on North Main Street in Bethesda. Officers responded. No marks were observed on the man, who denied the need for medical treatment, according to the report. He did not wish to pursue charges but wanted officers to speak with the woman. Deputies suggested one of the individuals leave for the evening. Both declined. No one wanted to leave, pursue charges or receive medical attention. Deputies advised them not to interact for the rest of the evening.
-- 6:41 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road for a report of a property-damage crash involving two semitrailers. Both semis were registered in Illinois, and both drivers exchanged information, according to the report.
-- 6:30 p.m. A caller reported that a man and a woman were intoxicated and with a toddler at Undo’s West on National Road in St. Clairsville. A deputy responded and made contact with the individuals. The officer reported that all was well.
-- 5:51 p.m. A deputy responded to Boscov’s at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a shoplifter who needed to be identified. The man was identified, and Boscov’s handled the incident.
-- 3:49 p.m. A caller reported that a woman had been missing for approximately four days. A deputy responded to an address in Martins Ferry. The woman was located and did not wish to have her location disclosed.
-- 3:43 p.m. Loss prevention at Walmart in the Ohio Valley Plaza in St. Clairsville reported they had a shoplifter they could not identify because of a language barrier. A deputy responded, and the individual produced identification. Loss prevention was satisfied and planned to file charges, according to the report.
-- 11:48 a.m. A caller reported that a man was destroying his girlfriend’s car at an address on Main Street in St. Clairsville. Deputies responded and spoke with the man. The report indicated it was a minor argument and he was fixing the car. The other party was not present.
-- 10:27 a.m. A caller reported a trash fire left over from the previous night on Colerain Pike in Martins Ferry. The caller believed copper wire was being burned, according to the report, and ash was landing on neighbors’ vehicles.
-- 6:06 a.m. A caller reported that his phone had been stolen the previous night and was pinging at an address on Short Creek Glenn Robins Road in Martins Ferry. Bellaire police took the initial report. The phone was recovered and turned over to Bellaire police, according to the report.
-- 4:27 a.m. An employee of South End Bar & Grill on Wegee Lane in Shadyside reported that a man who was already intoxicated arrived and attempted to assault staff. Several officers responded. The man had reportedly fallen before deputies arrived and had a mark on his face but declined emergency medical services. His mother was notified and arrived at the scene. He left with his mother for the night, according to the report.
-- 12:19 a.m. A third-party caller reported that a friend claimed people were fighting at her Airbnb. Exterior cameras reportedly showed yelling and profanity, raising concerns about a possible underage party. Officers responded to an address on Colerain Road in Bridgeport. A man at the residence said family and friends were gathered and an argument had occurred between a few individuals. Deputies spoke with adults and juveniles inside. Everyone was fine, no one appeared to be in distress and there were no signs of an underage party. The man was advised that the Airbnb owner could attempt to have them removed from the property. Deputies observed several people leaving, the report stated.
