She contacted child protective services and was claiming emergency custody of him for the night.

An officer responded to an address in Martins Ferry and spoke with the complainant, who said her two young sons were riding in the woods behind their house when a male subject came running up to them and began threatening them, yelling at them to get off his property. Her husband located the boys and got them home safely, according to the report. The couple only wanted a record of the incident on file.

The mother arrived and consented to the male being questioned. She was present when a statement was obtained from Riesbeck’s. A deputy transported him to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.
