THURSDAY
-- 11:20 p.m., a caller from Fairpoint-Maynard Road in St. Clairsville reported that she believed someone was trying to break in. She was in a bedroom closet. Officers arrived and reported that all was well. They noted that it was possibly an animal at the back door.
-- 10:44 p.m., a caller from an address on Lafferty Road in Flushing reported that threats were being made against her online. A sergeant advised that it was a civil matter and suggested that the caller block the other parties. No threats actually were made, according to the report.
-- 9:16 p.m., a caller from an address on Shephard Drive in St. Clairsville stated that he had video footage of his boat and trailer being taken at 11:52 a.m. that day. The caller was not sure whether the boat and trailer were repossessed or stolen, according to an officer. Information was taken for a larceny report.
-- 8:38 p.m., deputies responded to an address on High Ridge Road in Bridgeport for a medical emergency. Wolfhurst and Neffs emergency medical service squads were dispatched. CPR was in progress for cardiac arrest, but EMS advised that the person was deceased on arrival, according to the report. A coroner was called to the scene.
-- 8:03 p.m., a caller from Piatek’s Bar on Main Street in Fairpoint reported a male was unresponsive. A chief deputy and coroner were notified, as the person was deceased on arrival, according to the report.
-- 7:54 p.m., a caller from an address on Markatan Street in Flushing reported hearing possible shots fired in the area. Flushing Police handled the call.
-- 5:28 p.m., an officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a motor vehicle crash involving property damage only on North 26th Road in Bethesda. Motorists exchanged information, and information also was taken for an accident report.
-- 4:17 p.m., an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 southbound near the second Shadyside exit issued a warning to a motorist for failure to maintain a lane.
-- 4:10 p.m., a deputy responded to an emergency medical call at an address on Crescent Road in St. Clairsville. A female was transported by EMS to Trinity Hospital in St. Clairsville for chest pain. The deputy met the squad there. The incident began because the caller wanted to go to the mall and did not have a ride. One individual was taken into custody and transported to jail. Shayna Lynn Wright, who was listed as the caller in the incident report, was booked on one count of disrupting public services.
-- 3:56 p.m., a caller from Morgan Hill Road in Adena reported receiving spam messages depicting an AI-generated video threatening to beat him. The phone number came through a texting app, according to the report.
-- 3:17 p.m., a caller from an address on Kirkwood Heights Road in Bellaire reported that a dog had been maced and threatened to execute the dog if he was bitten. The owner threatened to shoot the caller, the report stated. The dog warden was called to the scene.
-- 12:21 p.m., units responded to a report of domestic trouble at the Parkview Apartments on Allen Avenue in Powhatan Point. The male had left. Powhatan Point Police were on the scene, the report indicated.
-- 9:25 a.m., an officer was at Barton Road in St. Clairsville for a report of flooding on the road. The officer moved debris off the roadway near Mercer Road, according to the report. The officer spoke to township officials, and the road was shut down.
-- 8:56 a.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a female at Abby’s Crossing Apartments on Virginia Street in Bethesda. A deputy responded. A neighbor advised that the female was in a mental hospital.
-- 8:55 a.m., a caller from an address on Helen Gregg Road in Bethesda reported a scam. A repo tag had been placed on her door, and the caller wanted the incident documented.
-- 6:49 a.m., a caller from an address on New Cut Road in Shadyside reported that someone unlocked his truck overnight and stole his wallet and several company credit cards. Central dispatch reported other break-ins in the Shadyside area the previous night. Deputies responded, made contact with the caller and were at a second address on New Cut Road. Information was taken for a theft report.
-- 6:24 a.m., officers responded to the area of McGregor Hill Road in Bellaire to assist New Martinsville Police with a pursuit of a vehicle that crossed the river on the Moundsville Bridge and proceeded onto Patterson Hill Road. The vehicle pulled into a driveway on McGregor Hill Road. Officers searched the address with permission and searched the area of Dixon Hill Road. Officials from New Martinsville were to issue a warrant. Units from several jurisdictions cleared, and Bill’s Towing took possession of the vehicle for authorities in New Martinsville.
WEDNESDAY
-- 10:28 p.m., a caller reported that someone hit her vehicle in the parking lot of the Sun Shop on National Road in St. Clairsville and then left the scene. An officer responded and took information for a hit-skip accident report. There was property damage only. The officer was to follow up with the manager for video footage.
-- 10:23 p.m., a caller from the Belle Village Apartments on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire reported that people were in the laundry room messing with her clothes. Units responded. Both parties were advised to "act like adults" and try not to cross paths with each other again that evening, according to the report.
-- 9:41 p.m., a caller from an address on Oak Hill Road in Flushing reported hearing loud noises coming from the well pad. A deputy spoke with a worker, who advised that it was a compressor going off.
-- 7:34 p.m., a caller from an address on National Road in Bridgeport reported an elderly female was on his front porch yelling and screaming. She was upset that someone had parked in front of the ramp to her house. An officer and a police unit responded. They left, and all was well, according to the report.
-- 4:23 p.m., units followed up on an online crime submission reporting that a complainant’s debit card was charged about $176 at the Pilot Travel Center in Belmont on Aug. 11. The complainant requested that a record be placed on file and started a fraud report with her bank.
-- 12:08 p.m., deputies responded to the Glenwood Village Apartments on Belmont Street in Belmont after a caller requested that her husband be removed. A female complainant reported that she filed a temporary protection order that day at the courthouse and that he was moving his belongings out of their apartment. Parties were advised of their options, according to officers, who noted that the protection order had not yet been signed.
-- 9:59 a.m., an officer was flagged down on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville and was told that a man wrapped in a blanket was behind Lowe’s Home Improvement. An officer took the man to the Guernsey County line.
-- 8:13 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the school zone outside Bellaire Elementary School on Pike Street in Bellaire.
-- 7:52 a.m., a deputy was on patrol in the school zone outside Bridgeport Schools on Industrial Drive in Bridgeport.
-- 7:39 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the school zone outside Bellaire Middle School on Neffs-Bellaire Road in Bellaire.
-- 7:09 a.m., a deputy was on patrol in the school zone outside Union Local Middle School on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont.
-- 6 a.m., a unit on a traffic stop at Marietta and Newall streets in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Indiana motorist for driving without tail lights.
