-- 9:40 p.m., a caller from Richland Township reported that he struck his roommate over the head with a beer bottle and requested emergency medical service. A deputy responded, took one male into custody and transported him to the Belmont County Jail.
-- 6:24 p.m., a caller from an address in Pease Township reported that a female came to her house accusing her of stealing earbuds and working at Wheeling Hospital, neither of which were true, the complainant indicated. Then the female called to file theft charges. Officers were to meet with both parties separately, but according to the report, one party had to file a report with Wheeling Police.
-- 7:38 p.m., a caller from the Multi County Apartments in Pease Township reported that people were playing football around cars. An officer responded and spoke with juveniles, advising them not to play around cars.
-- 12:57 p.m., a unit initiated a traffic stop just past Bellaire Middle School on Neffs-Bellaire Road in Bellaire. A warning was issued to an Ohio motorist for speeding in a school zone.
-- 11:46 a.m., a complainant reported to central dispatch that someone broke into his camper located in Richland Township on Friday. The complainant met a deputy on the scene, and information was taken for a breaking and entering report.
-- 8:33 a.m., central dispatch advised that a caller from Airport Road at Pogue Road in St. Clairsville reported that an injured deer needed to be put down. Richland Township Police responded to the call to handle the situation.
-- 8:22 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol called central dispatch and requested that a unit from the sheriff's office assist in shutting down Interstate 70 eastbound because of a motor vehicle accident. A deputy responded to the scene near I-70 Exit 208 eastbound in Morristown.
-- 7:39 a.m., a deputy initiated a traffic stop on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire and issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for speeding.
-- 7:35 a.m., a caller from an address in Union Township reported to central dispatch that her 15-year-old son would not go to school. An officer responded. The unit advised that the male was going to school, and the mother was taking him.
-- 7:25 a.m., an officer was out at Union Local Schools on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont on school zone patrol.
-- 7:18 a.m., a deputy was out at Bellaire Middle School on Neffs-Bellaire Road in Bellaire on school zone patrol.
-- 7:17 a.m., a deputy was out at Bridgeport Schools on Industrial Drive in Bridgeport on school zone patrol.
-- 1:29 a.m., an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 215 issued a warning to a Canadian motorist for speeding and for driving outside of marked lanes.
Tuesday
-- 11:24 p.m., the owner of a semi cab from a previous call reported that he found his truck at Love's Travel Center near the tire shop on Belmont-Morristown Road in Morristown. The owner had a suspect on the ground and was holding him until deputies arrived. One male was taken into custody. The truck was released to the owner. One male was transported to the hospital for medical clearance, according to the report. Silvino Lopez of Pennsylvania was arrested, charged with felony receiving stolen property and booked into the Belmont County Jail.
-- 11:17 p.m., officers were out on a traffic stop on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville near Five Below when it was reported that a K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle, but nothing was found upon searching the vehicle. A warning was issued to an Ohio motorist for an equipment violation.
-- 10:58 p.m., an officer on a traffic stop on Center Street in Martins Ferry issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a turn signal violation and loud exhaust.
-- 10:12 p.m., the Ohio County Sheriff's Office requested that a deputy check the Red Roof Inn for a semi with Texas plates that was being entered as stolen. A deputy patrolled the area but did not locate the vehicle. The owner subsequently reported finding the vehicle at Love's.
-- 10:12 p.m., an officer responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address on Commercial Drive in Bridgeport. This was a verbal argument between a male and female. The male advised these were knives in the residence, but none were on either party, according to the report.
-- 9:16 p.m., an officer on a traffic stop on National Road in St. Clairsville near Dollar General issued a written warning to a motorist for attempting to pass on a double yellow line.
-- 7:35 p.m., a caller at an address on Maplewood Drive in St. Clairsville was in a verbal argument with their uncle. Officers responded, and the parties were separated.
-- 6:38 p.m., a caller from Abbey's Crossing/Bethesda Meadows on Virginia Street in Bethesda reported that a female was abusing her dog and playing loud music. An officer responded. There was no violation of noise ordinances, and the dog was inspected by a representative from Belmont County Hoof and Paw. The dog appeared to be clean and in good health, according to the report.
-- 3:21 p.m., an officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a crash on Glenns Run Road in Martins Ferry. A male reportedly walked away from the accident. He told emergency medical service personnel to leave and was aggressive with them, according to the report. EMS left. The incident was listed as an accident with injury.
-- 1:52 p.m., a complainant from an address on Crescent Road in St. Clairsville reported that someone called and left a message claiming to be a sergeant from the Belmont County Sheriff's Office saying there was a warrant for their arrest for not showing up for jury duty. When she called the number, they answered that it was the sheriff's office. The complainant was informed that this was a scam call, and information was forwarded to a detective.
-- 1:05 p.m., a caller reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor on Long Run Road in Bethesda who they said tore down a fence and made threats to his grandchildren. A deputy responded to the call, spoke with individuals and reported that this was a civil issue about property lines.
-- 12:03 p.m., several units responded to an address on Ferry Landing Road in Shadyside for a report of a man with a gun. A male reportedly was waving a muzzleloader around. There were several people arguing, and others were trying to calm the male down, according to the report. Officers arrived, and one male was taken into custody. The firearm was seized. David Leroy Rosier II was booked on charges of having a weapon under disability, possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and possession of drug abuse instruments.
-- 1:57 a.m., a deputy assisted St. Clairsville Police on a call about a 67-year-old female being disruptive and uncooperative at the Senior Living Suites on Dorothy Place in St. Clairsville.
-- 12:44 a.m., Belmont County Hoof and Paw took possession of dogs at an address on Jacobsburg-Key Road in Jacobsburg. The staff believed that some of the dogs may have been poisoned, according to the report. Statements were obtained.
Monday
-- 9:43 p.m., an officer on a traffic stop on Fulton Road in Bridgeport reported that the driver was not stopping. The vehicle continued to an address on Colerain Road in Mount Pleasant. One male was taken into custody and taken to jail.
-- 9:29 p.m., an officer on a traffic stop on 48th Street in Bellaire on the northbound Ohio 7 ramp cited a motorcycle driver for speeding, expired registration and no motorcycle endorsement. The driver also advised he had no insurance, according to the report. The bike was put off to the side of the on-ramp, and the driver was to appear in court Sept. 1.
-- 8:49 p.m., a sergeant on a traffic stop on the northbound on-ramp at 48th Street in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for driving with no lights.
-- 4:48 p.m., the manager at Walmart on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville reported that they had two shoplifters in custody with no identification. An officer responded, and information was taken for a report.
-- 3:41 p.m., a caller from an address on Lockwood Hill Road in Jacobsburg reported a shotgun and other items stolen. Information was taken for a report.
-- 1:40 p.m., a caller from an address on Market Street in Yorkville reported that her ex-husband had been harassing her, and she was concerned because of shared custody of the children. The caller was given options, including the possibility of seeking a civil protection order.
-- 12:31 p.m., a caller at an address on Greig Road in Jacobsburg reported a breaking and entering at his property near Mount Victory Road. The caller reported that his son caught a male and female in a red pickup truck. They were told to get off the property, but the items were not retrieved. A shotgun and several other items were taken, according to the report.
-- 1:17 a.m., an officer on a traffic stop on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville near McDonald's issued a verbal warning to an Ohio motorist for a traffic control device violation.
