She Shed provides Bellaire women’s essential needs

BELLAIRE - As families across the Ohio Valley prepare for a new school year, rising costs continue to place pressure on household budgets, making it difficult for some to afford even basic necessities.
For many women, feminine hygiene and personal care products can become one of those overlooked expenses. Recognizing that need, Unified Bank and The Salvation Army of Bellaire have worked together since 2022 to support the She Shed, an initiative created to provide free feminine hygiene and women’s personal care products to those who may not be able to afford them.
Located on the Salvation Army campus, the She Shed has become a community resource for women throughout the Ohio Valley, helping ease financial burdens while providing access to essential products.
Bellaire’s poverty rate remains more than twice the statewide average, underscoring the need for community partnerships that help families meet everyday needs.
The partnership reflects Unified Bank’s commitment to supporting organizations that address both immediate needs and long-term well-being in the communities it serves.
The Bellaire Salvation Army provides a range of programs designed to assist individuals and families facing hardship, including emergency assistance, food programs, youth initiatives and other community services.
Unified Retail Banking Executive and Area Sales Manager Stacy Carpino has been involved in efforts throughout the communities served by the bank.

Unified Bank also partners with and supports Majors Tim and Connie Higgins, who lead the Bellaire Salvation Army. Their work focuses on providing assistance to area residents with compassion and dignity.
