-- 9:47 p.m., a caller from St. Clairsville reported a bat in her house. A deputy responded and was able to catch and remove the bat.

-- 9:25 p.m., a male reportedly was having mental health issues and possible hallucinations of a woman stealing his mail. An officer responded. All questions were answered, and the male did not pose a threat to himself or anyone else, according to the report. Information was placed on file.

-- 8:21 p.m., a caller from Bethesda reported that someone unknown was knocking on her door, and she had her 6-year-old son inside with her. The caller said it was a male who left in a white truck and stopped in front of her neighbor’s. At 10:12 p.m., the complainant called back and gave information about who was possibly at her residence and showed posts made on public social media. Information was added to the report.

-- 8:18 p.m., a caller from Bellaire reported that her juvenile granddaughter was getting harassing text messages. A deputy advised this was a civil issue and referred her to obtain a temporary protection order. The area of the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville was patrolled where the juvenile works, according to the report.

-- 7:59 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle was swerving on Mills Road in St. Clairsville. An officer responded to investigate the complaint.

-- 7:36 p.m., a complainant from St. Clairsville called to report that he was bitten by a dog on the back of his leg by a pit bull/bulldog mix. The caller denied emergency medical service despite being advised multiple times to seek medical treatment, according to the report. A representative from the Belmont County Animal Shelter responded to the scene. Contact was made with the dog’s owner. The dog warden was to be forwarding charges, the report stated.

-- 5:58 p.m., a caller reported two suspicious males in a car near the Bridgeport Schools administration building on Industrial Drive in Bridgeport. The caller reported that the males on the property were possibly doing drugs. An officer responded but did not locate the individuals related to the narcotics complaint.

-- 5:55 p.m., a unit initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 215 in St. Clairsville and issued a warning to a motorist for speeding and for a turn signal violation.

-- 2:48 p.m., a caller from Brookside reported hearing what was possibly a single gunshot in the area. A deputy patrolled the area but saw and heard nothing out of the ordinary. At 3:23 p.m., the deputy was out at that address where a female stated that she may have been having a stroke. The female went with emergency medical service personnel, the report indicated.

-- 1:03 a.m., an officer on a traffic stop at the Interstate 70 eastbound rest area in Union Township issued a warning to an Illinois motorist with a U-Haul registered in Arizona for driving with no taillights.

-- 12:43 a.m., a caller reported four people smoking marijuana inside a gray car at the gas pumps at the Loves Travel Center on Reco Road in Morristown. An officer responded, but the vehicle left prior to his arrival.
