A Clarington man was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Ohio 7 in Salem Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
According to OSHP, a 2002 Subaru Outback driven by Brady Dye, 27, of Lowell, was headed northbound on Ohio 7 when it traveled left of center and struck a Ford Focus driven by Duff Mahoney, 54, of Clarington, head on in the highway’s southbound lane. The Subaru came to rest in the roadway, while the Ford came to rest off the right side of the roadway.
Mahoney was killed in the crash. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
