The former CEO at Fox Run is back in Lorain County Jail after his bond was revoked following alleged contact with a 17-year-old girl.
Randall Mackendrick was booked into the Lorain County Jail at 4:10 a.m. Friday, according to jail records. He initially was arrested on charges of importuning, defined as soliciting sexual activity; disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile; possessing criminal tools; and unlawful sexual contact with a minor. He is accused of trying to meet with a 14-year-old girl, who in reality was an undercover officer. His bond had been set at $125,000.
As a condition of his bond, he was forbidden from contacting any minor under the age of 18 while the case was pending.
In a motion filed Sept. 17 by Lorain County Assistant Prosecutor Brian James, he wrote that a woman called North Ridgeville Police claiming her 17-year-old daughter, who had once been a resident of Fox Run, had been texting with Mackendrick. According to James, the woman said the conversations had been happening since Sept. 5.
According to a report in the Elyria (Ohio) Chronicle-Telegram, Mackendrick’s attorney Catherine Meehan filed a motion asking Judge Giovanna Bremke to reconsider the bond revocation.
According to the Chronicle-Telegram, Meehan told the judge it was the girl who initially contacted Mackendrick, not him contacting her, that he did not answer most of the multiple times she tried to contact him, and that the content was “was not sexual, threatening or otherwise criminal.”
A bond hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 13.
