State Route 151 to close for culvert replacement
HARRISON COUNTY -- State Route 151 will be closed Sept. 8-11 for a culvert replacement project 1.5 miles west of Scio, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The closure will be just west of State Route 332.
Motorists will be detoured on State Route 212 west to State Route 164 north, then State Route 164 north to State Route 332 south and back to State Route 151. The detour will be reversed for motorists traveling in the opposite direction.
The project is scheduled to be completed Sept. 11.

Library branches offer activities for children
JEFFERSON COUNTY -- At the Adena Branch, patrons can pick up supplies beginning Sept. 14 to create a scratch-art bookmark as part of the branch's Grab-and-Go program.
Brilliant and Tiltonsville branches will offer Tot Time for children ages 2-4 at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 17, featuring stories, songs and rhymes. Story Time for children ages 5-10 will follow at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required for both programs.
The Toronto Branch also will offer a financial education program at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14. Gene Zrinyi of Tri-State Financial will discuss creating a household budget, tracking spending and developing healthy spending habits. Registration is required.
