Toys”R”Us returns to Ohio Valley

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Toys”R”Us is coming back to the Ohio Valley just in time for the holiday season.
The store will be in the Ohio Valley Mall and will be operated by Go! Retail Group and will go into the former Justice Children's Clothing store.
The store is tentatively scheduled to open sometime in October. It will occupy approximately 2,000 square feet of space on the mall's Center Court.
The new shop will offer a smaller, easy-to-shop Toys"R"Us experience, with a curated assortment of popular toys and brands including LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, NERF, PAW Patrol, and more.

"From the hottest toys of the year to a convenient, family-friendly shopping experience, our Toys"R"Us shops are designed to spread joy and make gift-giving simple."
Cafaro Co. director of communications Joe Bell said that although the store is coming just in time for the holidays it is not a seasonal store.
"They have a lease that runs for at least a year. So this store will be around for a while. It is certainly something that could be extended and we hope that it does become a permanent feature of the Ohio Valley Mall," Bell said. "We’re very excited about the idea of having this wonderful retailer available for the community for that length of time, and maybe beyond that."
He added that anybody who grew up in the past 30 or 40 years remembers the name Toys"R"Us.
"We’re very excited that they’re essentially reactivating this brand and putting stores across America," Bell said. "We’re glad to be bringing one to Ohio Valley Mall. This is certainly a smaller format than the previous Toys"R"Us chain that was known for its enormous store locations.
“It’ll be packed with all kinds of things that will be great gift ideas for parents, grandparents, anybody who’s buying for a child or maybe buying for your own personal use," Bell said.
