WILLIAMS, Pastor Kenneth R.

WILLIAMS, Pastor Kenneth R., of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, went on to his reward in heaven on May 31, 2010.

He was born in Cabin Creek W.Va., on April 8, 1929, the son of Tidevil and Minnie Totten Williams.

Kenneth was an Army veteran of the Korean War with the 101st Airborne Division, was retired as a Federal Coal Mine Inspector and the former pastor of the New Testament Believers Church in Tiltonsville, Ohio.

He always took his jobs seriously and as an inspector, dedicated himself to the safety and security of all the men who worked underground in area coal mines.

As a pastor and lay- speaker, he felt equally responsible for the safety and security of every soul he came in contact with.

He was well known for his passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ and would start a conversation with anyone who wanted to learn more about “The Lord”.

His life goal was to hear the savior say “well done my good and faithful servant welcome home.” To those of us who knew and loved him, we are sure he is finally home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Jack, Robert, Ronald and Glenn Williams.

Surviving is the love of his life; Lorraine Crowe Williams, his wife of 57 years, two sons; Ted (Molly) Williams, of Bellaire, Ohio, Steve Williams, of Bridgeport, Ohio, and his only daughter, Deborah “Shag” Williams, of Wheeling, W.Va., a sister; Charlotte Warner, of Nitro, WV, three grandchildren who loved their “Grandpa/ Pap-paw” including Janette and Steven Williams of Moline, IL, Cassandra (Blake) Bendel of South Park, PA and a great grandson, Liam Bendel.

Family and friends will be received Friday, June 4, 2010, at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory 441 37th St., Bellaire, OH from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 1p.m. with Pastor Herb Zanes officiating.

Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, Pow hatan Point, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiltonsville Tabernacle or Valley Hospice.
