YOUNG, Steve

YOUNG, Steve, 58, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, of County Road 17, Rayland, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born February 17, 1953, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence Edward and Dolores Ogden Young.

He was a former welder at Starvaggi Weirton Ice and Coal, a Methodist by faith, a member of the Mingo and Lansing Sportsmans Clubs, an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved children especially the grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Meeker Young; son, Travis Stephen Young of Rayland, Ohio; brother, Michael Edward Young of Rayland, Ohio; grandson, Travis; and four granddaughters, Taylor, Courtney, Kirsten and Makayla.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Steve and celebrate his life, Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, where funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. James Monogioudis officiating. Burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at the Diabetes Association.
