ZELENT, Ramona Faye, 81, beloved wife, mother grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, of Dove Avenue, Adena, Ohio died Friday June 1, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born January 15, 1931, in Duncanwood, Ohio daughter of the late Steve and Zelma Bost Pitner.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Andrew, Willie, George, Wayne, and Steve Pitner; and two sisters, Virginia Rogers and Doris Cameron.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Bridgeport.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Arthur “Art” Henry Zelent; son, John A. Zelent, of Bushnell, Fla.; three daughters, Debbie Birbeck, of Adena, Ohio, Tina (Jeff) Ricchetti, of Cadiz, Ohio, and Judy (Dan) Jones, of Cadiz, Ohio; two brothers, Ronnie (Nancy) Pitner, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Jack Pitner, of Panama City, Fla.; sister, Juanita Zeroski, of Adena, Ohio; five grandchildren, Ryan and John Zelent II, Tatum Hanson, Nico Ricchetti, and Rhiannon Jones; three great-grandchildren, Shayd and Kingston Hanson, and Riott Ricchetti.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Ramona and celebrate her life Monday from 2:30-9:30 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, Ohio where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Pastor Karen Torrez will officiate with Niece Marina Lott, doing the Eulogy.
Entombment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Fire Department or Adena American Legion.
Ramona was a very beautiful woman who loved her family.
She was very compassionate, generous and kind to all.
She loved spending time with her best buddy, Rhiannon shopping and feeding all who entered her door.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
