IRENE SCHOLZ
Irene Rose Scholz, 89, of Dillonvale, OH, died Thursday February 25, 2016, at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry.
She was born November 20, 1926, in Dillonvale, a daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve (Strayer) Slivinski.
She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church Dillonvale, and a home maker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, John E. Scholz Sr., also several brothers and sisters.
Irene is survived by two sons, John Scholz Jr. of Dillonvale, and Michael (Joni) Scholz of Oregon, a daughter, Suzanne (Frank) Roberts of Port Orange, FL, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, on Sunday, February 28, 2016, from noon till time of service at 2 p.m. with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating, interment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
