GARNET HUNTSMAN

Garnet May Huntsman, 91, of Barnesville, OH, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, at her home.

She was born on May 20, 1925, in Barnesville, OH, to the late Maurice (Mose) and Elizabeth (Denney) Thatcher.

Garnet was a retired accountant from Barnesville Hospital. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dwight Huntsman on March 26, 1989; and infant twin daughters, Jane and Jean.

Garnet is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Sam) Jones of Westerville; son, Gary Dean (Peggy) Huntsman of Newark; sister, Rose Lou Johnson of Barnesville; brother, Robert Thatcher of Barnesville and Richard (Martha) Thatcher of Canton; granddaughter, Sara (Rafa Miera) Huntsman of Fairfax, VA; grandsons, Bill Jones of Westerville and Bradley (Meghan) Huntsman of Alexandria, VA; step-grandson, Joseph Creedon of Columbus; and two great-granddaughters, Cora and Carly Huntsman of Alexandria, VA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, OH, where services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Cox and Rev. Gene Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, OH.
