LOREN ROMICK

Loren D. Romick died March 4, 2017, at his home in Sardis.

He was born January 22, 1960, to Lawrence and Delores (Jones) Romick. He married Charlotte Schafer on October 25, 1997. They have two children: Olivia and Carson, both of the home.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence and Delores, he is survived by siblings Shelley (Phil) Hulsey and Karen Romick of Sardis, Colleen (Carl) Clark of Columbus, and Kyle (Kathy) Romick of Milford. He leaves nephews and nieces: Leah Hulsey, Ethan (Trista) Hulsey, Mariah (Ronny) Warrington, Hilary (Josh) McCain, Chelsey (Michael) McGuire, Caitlin Romick, Elijah Romick, two great-nieces Jocelyn and Avery Hulsey and one great-nephew Niemann Warrington.

Loren owned Regal Photography and loved his work with photography and working with the people he photographed. He was active in many community and school projects.

Loren had many talents; all of which he used to bring glory to God. He was a gifted speaker, musician, and songwriter. He attended Mt. Olive Church all of his life and for the past several years was the lay speaker, worship leader, and a Sunday school teacher. He received a Masters of Divinity degree, but continued as a lifetime student of the Bible. He was a minister, counselor, and friend to many. He touched countless lives. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, friend, and a loving and dedicated father to his beloved children. The family can draw comfort that he is now in the presence of Jesus, whom he loved most of all.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Mark Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sardis, OH.
