NICKOLAS KURKO
Nickolas Kurko, 75, of Rayland, OH, died Monday, February 27, 2017, at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV.
He was born September 28, 1941 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late Michael Kurko Sr. and Gertrude A. (Romel) Kurko.
He was retired from Conrail, a member of the Polish National Alliance and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Moore) Kurko; brother, Michael Kurko Jr.; and sister, Joann Bess.
Surviving are his sons, Nick (Brenda) Kurko Jr. of Martins Ferry, and Thomas Kurko of Mt. Pleasant, OH; brother, Sam (Barbara) Kurko of Elkview, WV; sisters, Patty Kelly of Glenn Robins, OH, Shirley Kurko and Connie Kurko, both of Martins Ferry; grandson, Nickolas Kurko III; and sister-in-law, Emily Kurko.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH.
