CLEMENTINE POSTAGE

Clementine Damiani Postage, 99, of Pickerington Ohio, formally of Dillies Bottom Ohio, died Thursday, August 10th, 2017 in her home.

She was born January 17th, 1918 to the late Carmine and Pasqua Rosa Maizezza Damiani.

She was married to the late Rudolph Valentino Postage on July 13, 1940. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by step-mother, Matilda Gaudieri Damiani; brothers, Primo Damiani and Louis Damiani; sisters, Amelia Damiani Rossi, Malvina Damiani DeGenova, Julia R. Damiani Polivka, Mary Louise Damiani Tschappat and Pasqua Rose Damiani Kovalo.

She is survived by her only son, Louis V. Postage and his wife, Margaret Jeanne Thornton Postage of Pickerington, Ohio. She has three grandchildren, Tina L. Postage-Gowins (Jerry), Louis R. Postage (Lori) and JD Postage (Jackie). 12 great-grand children; Andrew (Jaclynn), Karah, Max and Cori Gowins; Jeffrey, Trey, Taylor, Abby and Christopher Postage; Angela, Kaylee and Isabelle Postage. Several nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Bellaire High School circa 1936. She went on to work in her fathers business’ in Dillies Bottom, operating a bar and a general store. Her and her husband then went on to build and operate Pioneer Motel in Dillies Bottom as well as being a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always worked endlessly. She did not know the meaning of the word “Relax”. Whenever she had company, they never left hungry, she had to feed you something. She was an amazing cook. Family was everything to her. She cared for many of them. She often spoke of her brother Lou who was killed in WWII with so much pain in her voice. She was as Patriotic as they come. She stood while the National Anthem played on TV during ball games. She loved to sing. But most of all, she loved Jesus Christ. She was a devout Catholic whose faith was unshakable. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A memorial mass, officiated by Fr. James Klima, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19 at Seton Parish Catholic Church, 600 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, with an hour prior visitation. Arrangements by Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, Pickerington.
