JUNE CASTO

She was born June 9, 1924, on Wheeling Island, a daughter of the late Floyd H. and Luella Arn Whiston. The family moved to Flushing, Ohio when June was nine months old. She was a 1942 graduate of Flushing High School and spent 40 years working in various office settings, retiring from Cytec Industries, Akron, Ohio, after 27 years of service.

June was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia, AARP, and had volunteered for Pathway Caring for Children and Daughters of America for several years.

Preceeding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Eugene Casto in 1994, and two brothers, David Lee and Donald Floyd. Surviving are two sisters, Elaine Goddard of New Philadelphia and Doris Schlanz of St. Clairsville; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Warren Funeral Home, Flushing from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018. Graveside services will immediately follow visitation at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
