JOHN THOMAS

Born March 5, 1944, in Dunglen, OH, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Francis Beal Thomas.

John, “Wee Man,” or “Manny,” no matter how you knew him, was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers – “Here We Go.” He enjoyed playing cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Bucco; and sisters, Audrey Bucco and Lana Purtiman.

John is survived by his daughter, Velvet (Chris) Weekley of Barnesville, OH; sons, John Thomas of Barnesville, OH, and Jason (Christi) Thomas of Mansfield, TX; grandchildren, Vanessa (Chris) Baker of Barnesville, OH, Candace (Joel) Weekley of Little Rock, AR, Jonathan and Anthony Thomas of Texas; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ansley Baker of Barnesville, OH; sisters, Deloris (Bud) Tracy of Bridgeport, OH, and Darlene Podgerski of Olmstead Falls, OH; and very special friend, Jackie Jeffers.

In honoring the wishes of John, there will be no visitation or service. At a later date and at the convenience of his family, a private interment will take place.

The family has entrusted John’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Barnesville, OH.
