MARGARET L. BLAKE

Margaret L. Blake, 88, of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away August 2, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born to John Montgomery and Kathryn Mahan Yocum o

n June 9, 1931 in Kensington, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, preceding Margaret in death was her husband, Charles Blake; daughter, Susan Blake; brother, Raymond Montgomery; and great-great-granddaughter, Marley Conger.

Cherishing the many memories made, are those who survive; daughters, Lindy (Danny) Brooks of Florida, Sallie (Fred) Janoski of North Carolina, Charlotte (Jeff) Carpenter of South Carolina; sons, Charles “Frank” (Melissa) Blake of Scio, Scott (Mindy) Blake of Bethesda; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend and neighbor, Carla Thompson.

Her inspiration and beliefs were of the Methodist faith. She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She enjoyed camping, gardening, telling stories, and watching her fish in the pond. One of Margaret’s most favorite things was to sit on her porch and enjoy the simplicity of the day, lifting her spirits and remembering the many blessings in her life.

Family and friends are invited for visitation, Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 5-8 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, where the service for Margaret will be conducted, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. Reverend Phil Yocum will officiate. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
