MARIE FIELDS
Marie A. Fields, 98, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Forest Hills Retirement Home.
She was born March 4, 1921 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Alfred and Cleo (Patton) Boyd.
She was retired from Joseph A. Strauss, Wheeling, a member of the Wayman AME Church Wheeling, and the Deborah Temple 125 IBOEW.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence E. Fields; two sons, Edward and Lawrence Fields; a son-in-law, Phillip Hunter; and a daughter-in-law, Debra Fields.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Jody Hunter of Steubenville; a sister, Freda Benton of Detroit, MI; a daughter-in-law, ZoAnn Fields of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m., with Rev. Georgia B. Morrow officiating, interment in Weeks Cemetery Bridgeport.
