VAN COEN
Van Albert Coen, 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020, in Altercare Adena. He was born in Adena on March 22, 1931, a son of the late Van and Bessie (Sanders) Coen. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook post #529.
Van is survived by his wife of 68 years, Reta (Post) Coen; children, Delbert (Sharon) Coen, Diana Charlton and Roger (Mary Anne) Coen; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and three great greatgrandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death his parents; a daughter, June Rawson; twin infant granddaughters; an infant great grandson, Isaac Parsons; a sister and five brothers.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Staley officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
