RAYMOND SCOTT

Raymond E. Scott “Scotty,” 90, of Bethesda, OH, passed away peacefully at his home, on February 11, 2020.

Born August 23, 1929, Raymond was the son of the late Louis and Luella Scott of Hunter, OH.

In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth; and sister, Mrs. Bessie Bunting of Newark.

He is survived by sister, Mrs. Betty Roe of Spiedel.

Scotty was a nurturing husband, a loving father, and a playful grandpa. He was a lifelong resident to Bethesda, and after retirement could be seen walking hand-in-hand with his grandchildren around Beth- esda Park. He enjoyed life most, when he was in the great outdoors, spending endless hours down on the family farm building fences, planting crops and taking care of cattle. He also enjoyed NASCAR and became an avid Buckeyes football fan later in life.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged February 17, 1953. He was a lifetime member of the Barnesville VFW Post #2792 and the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18, where he received recognition as a 60-year gold member.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to the nursing staff of Amedisys Hospice, for the care given to Raymond before his passing.
