BARBARA “FAYE” CARTER

Barbara “Faye” Carter, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away March 17, 2020 at 91.

Born in Benwood, West Virginia December 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Ball King and one of seven children that blessed the King family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Carter; brother, Wayne King; and sisters, Pauline Brestle, Jane Rinkes, Betty McMahon, and Pat Thomas.

Leaving behind beautiful memories, Faye is survived by her daughter, Peggy Burley of Lansing, Ohio; grandson, Chad (Victoria) Burley of Bethesda, Ohio; brother Mike (Linda) King of St. Clairsville, Ohio; three cherished great- grandchildren, Zander, Grady, and Madison; and her neighbor and very dear friend, Helen Street.

A truly kindhearted person, who believed in so many good things in life, she treasured her family and friends deeply. She was a member of Lloydsville Methodist Church, loved having people come to visit her, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed living next door to Jamboree in the Hills for many, many years. Quite an eye-opening experience for Faye.

Honoring Faye’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or service. At a later date, per her request, a private family interment will take place.

Faye’s care and assisting her family has been entrusted with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda.
