GERALD “JERRY” SMITH

Jerry was born November 9, 1948 in Wheeling, WV to the late Ernest and Ruth Cowan Smith.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jerry Smith, a sister, Judith Dotson, and a grandson, James Butler.

Jerry was a member of the Cedar Lodge and was a retiree from Arcelor Mittal.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sylvia “Kay” Pellen Smith, five daughters: Amy (Jeff) Gibson of Wellsburg, WV, Joy (Heath) Kenny of Warwood, WV, Tina (Ty) Butler of Midland, PA, Sharon (Mark) Jordan of Beech Bottom, WV, and Jean Anne (Shawn) Clem of Wellsburg, WV, three sons: Kenneth (Cindy) Rowan of Wheeling, WV, Douglas Rowan of Pittsburgh, PA, and William Rowan of Wellsburg, WV, two brothers: Terry (Darlene) Smith of Follansbee, WV and James (Patricia) Smith of Rock Hill, SC, one sister: Darlene (Randy) Hinkle of Warwood, WV, fifteen grandchildren: Eric, Derrick, Christina, Ashley, Austin, Tessla, Mark, Taylor, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Charisma, Haleigh, Madison, Marshall, and Jaxon, several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles Street Wellsburg, WV with Joy Leasure Officiating. Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV. Arrangements by Reasner Funeral Home.
