SAMUEL JOSEPH MILES

Sam passed away on October 15, 2018 in Hollywood, Florida, formerly from St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Samuel Woodson Miles and the late Ruby (Pipsaire) Miles. Surviving is his sister Katherine Ann Miles. Sam attended St. Clairsville middle school, Linsly Military Institute, and graduated college from the University of South Florida. He worked as a computer programmer for the state of Florida and GTE. When he was living in Tampa Florida, he was a member of the Tampa Kiwanis Club where he helped the community in many ways. Every year he would help with their chicken barbeque fund raiser. His passion was reading, and he had a house full of books. He continued his love of learning when he moved to Hollywood, Florida. He loved languages and tried to learn as much as he could. He would get subscriptions to magazines in other languages and even got a Harry Potter book in Portuguese. He had a big heart and would help others less fortunate than him. Private services were held by the family. He had a love for small dogs and cats.
